Charming historic inn at North Head, conveniently close to the ferry terminal. Clean comfortable and spacious rooms and bathroom. Having a fridge with freezer as well as a microwave was appreciated. Owners were very warm and welcoming. Loved the antique furniture. Highly recommend this hotel!
Nothing. Would definitely return
It was close to the center of town. Very close to ferry terminal and Swallow tail lighthouse. It is a very old hotel but very modern. However they have kept the old character of the property alive. It is beautiful. I love the use of antiques to populate the hallways and the rooms. I love the fact that their small fridge had a freezer portion! I could put my freezer packs in there to freeze. The bathroom be had been totally revamped and lovely. Loved the cozy round table for eating snacks.

My husband and I love historical buildings and decor. We love the carved wood and wide board floors. The hotel is elevated so the view from floor 3 of the harbor was beautiful.
The location was excellent.
Al, the owner, could not do enough for us. He was kind, gracious and respectful.
Thank you!
Breakfasts were prompt and complete, served in a friendly, cheerful manner.
No kettle or tea/coffee/milk available in room. Staff seemed unknowledgeable about some aspects of the upland.
Expérience
It’s an extraordinary historical in. and the location is terrific. We were one of only two guests and were given the best room with a view. Room and bathroom were excellent and decorated appropriately for the period.
We were there in late June which is apparently out of season. There was not one restaurant open after 6:30 on the whole island so we ate cheese and crackers. If the hotel had breakfast, or even coffee or tea, that was also inaccessible out of season. The grocery store is, well, an island grocery store. But, this is also what makes the Island special. You can’t have it both ways. Just be prepared. I wish I’d got groceries in ME before getting on the ferry. But none of this is about the hotel.. which was great. VERY comfy bed.
Aan te bevelen. Mooie grote kamer. Ja het is een oud gebouw, dat houd ik gelukkig van.
Vriendelijk personeel die alles heeft uitgelegd. Ook hoe de douche/badkraan werkt
Er is geen ontbijt en geen diner-service.
Niets. Werd wakker met reeën in de tuin.
It close to the ferry ⛴️ and close to restaurants
Overall and they do breakfast.
