Pros:

The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the room looked newly refurbished

Cons:

The new window was very poorly fitted and let in a howling gale, to the extent that I had to put my jacket along the bottom and a towel at the side. In the morning, the window blew open three times before breakfast!
I have privately emailed the Maltings regarding this but unfortunately have not received a response to date.

Pleasant ok for a one night stop good value

Apart from my small incident, my overall stay was wonderful, the place location is perfect & safe
Pros:

Breakfast was not included in our booking, we had a choice of adding it later but we didn't as we planned on going out everyday early

Cons:

Everything was nice and clean, however, I had to ask when our room will be cleaned after we passed 2 days of being there, so the receptionist gave me some reason which I still don't understand why,but to me whatever the reason, its a hotel and cleaning must be done.

Excellent, value for money hotel
Pros:

Great rooms, spacious, clean with fantastic shower! Friendly staff and owner with a lovely Indian restaurant attached offering fantastic options of delicious food. Great value for money with breakfast included. Will definitely recommend and will return.

Cons:

There should be a menu offered at breakfast, as well as the English breakfast. It would be a nice touch to offer soft or well done fried eggs and ensuring all items are hot as unfortunately mushrooms were stone cold and fried eggs were cooked solid. It would be nice to have lighter options, including morning rolls with sausage or bacon, etc, or toast with jams/marmalade. Instead brioche buns were offered but they are not the same as morning rolls.

Basic, cheap and decent enough
Pros:

Room seemed clean. Bathroom was clean and quite new.

Cons:

Small rooms. Restaurant was closed so nowhere to get dinner. Very disappointing.

Welcoming and very pleasant stay
Pros:

The shower was very goood! The room
Was very well decorated. Was very nice place especially for the price that I paid. Shame we didn’t get there on time for the curry house, heard it is very good.
