Pros:

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Ashoklama who runs it was so lovely and he was really helpful. It’s only a 5 minute walk from the main cliff market walk. Clean rooms and a nice bathroom. They also offer laundry services if you need. I really recommend!!!!

Pros:

A lovely place to stay in Varkala with clean rooms and good facilities. It is not too far from black beach and close the the cliff with a great choice of restaurants.

Good budget option if you don't need AC and don't mind a short walk to the cliff
Pros:

Very budget friendly guesthouse which is not too far away from the Cliff. Very helpful and friendly staff, clean room with a big comfortable bed.

Cons:

My upstairs room was quite hot day and night, the ceiling fan is not the most effective one.
My room was facing the busy road on one side and the nearby party hostel at the other side.
Not really quiet at night but I did have a good sleep anyway.

Pros:

Das überaus freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, insbesondere der Manager.

Familiär, man möchte dass es den Gästen gut geht.

Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis passt.

Gere wieder!

Cons:

Dass ich mir extra die Klimaanlagen dazu nehmen musste. Der Ventilator alleine ist zu wenig. In Varkala ist es sehr schwül.

It’s clean, good location and most of all the staff are amazing. Thank you so much Assoklama - you are just AMAZING. So lovely, attentive, helpful with a big heat and big smile. I miss being there already!! Thank you for a great stay.

The only thing is the road is quite noisy at times but that can’t be helped by the team

A peaceful stay with lovely people that made me feel at home.
Pros:

I stayed here for 9 nights during my solo trip to Varkala and couldn’t have made a better choice. From the start, the staff were welcoming, attentive and genuinely kind, always asking if I needed anything. My room was very clean, with drinking water provided daily. Even the basic fan room was perfectly comfortable. I felt safe, relaxed and at home, and I will absolutely stay here again when I return. Special thanks to Ashok and the entire team!

Estuvimos 6 noches muy a gusto, los hombres que lo llevan son super amables te dan agua fría y te, te ayudan con lo que necesites. A menos de 10 min a pie del Cliff con balcón con ventilador y una azotea para hacer yoga o simplemente relajarse.

Gemütliches Homestay im Zentrum Varkalas. Sehr freundliche Hosts, die bei allen Fragen geholfen haben, gemütliche Betten und sogar einen Außenbereich mit Hängematte. Trotz der zentralen Lage sehr ruhig.

Sherin Cottage was in a great location close to Varkala and Black Sand beaches, as well as all the shops, cafes and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable, and the host was very helpful and accommodating.

Pros:

We stayed here for one night. It was small but clean and the beds were comfortable. The ceiling fan worked very well. Good value budget accommodation. The host let us use the fridge and gave us fresh papaya from his tree before we left which was delicious.

Cons:

We paid more for a better room but when we arrived all the rooms appeared to be identical so not sure what we paid more for as the room and bathroom were tiny.
