Pros:

It was just ok like any nor.al budget hotel, unlike Taj Ginger .aintained in other cities.

Cons:

Breakfast was the worst part. Very few items. Even normal roadside hotels provide better stuff.

The staff in the cafeteria is nice and pleasant.

Cons:

The staff at the reception was inflexible, they were unhelpful when asked about day trips, the travel agent that we were referred to didn't have standard rates and charged higher rates, the hotel was not in a ready condition - some floors were a work in progress, including the one given to us. The floor we were at felt incomplete with mattresses and towels lying all over the floor. The location is atleast 7 kms from the main MG road and the hotel leaves you to figuring out cabs on your own. All in all, a pretty underwhelming and unsatisfactory experience.

The rooms are clean and well equipped. The restaurant staff was super nice.

Cons:

The reception personnel is unfortunately unfriendly and to some exteend incapable of unwilling of catering to its guests. At check-in our rooms were downgraded to a lower category without information. Upon request to get what we had booked and paid for we had to change rooms multiple times. AC was not working properly.

The location is far off the center of Gangtok.

Pros:

This is the nicest Ginger we have stayed in. There is ample parking and it is located on a quiet road. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and very neat.
