Surfside Hotel

Staff is very friendly and they are always willing to assist, I had some reservation issues with Expedia but the Manager addressed the issue and made our stat very comfortable.

Muy bonita y bien equipada la habitación. Acceso fácil y cómodo a la pisicina y playa.
El restaurante del hotel es un poco caro para lo que ofrecen y tardan mucho atender.

Excelente opción en el pacífico panameño, el hotel es nuevo, la piscina en buenas condiciones la comida muy rica .

Excelente opción para hospedarse en un plan de playa cerca de la ciudad. Tuve dudas de hacer la reserva por algunos comentarios que leí sobre el proceso de obras de construcción en el hotel, pero la experiencia ha sido muy buena, al punto de que terminé reservando una noche más. Nos sorprendió positivamente lo bonito del hotel y la playa que tiene al frente, considero que ha sido mejor incluso que lo visto en las fotos. Felizmente volvería!

Lugar nuevo, Ud elige la tranquilidad de la semana o lo contrario del finde.

Hubieron problemas para el acceso a la habitación.

Staff was great especially Elvis, too much noise from all the building construction. The road to get there is awful, once you get there it’s a beautiful place.

Brand new facility - prepare for construction noise, but it's not terrible. Check-in took a while. Beach is large with good body surfing at low tide. Pool is great. Rooms are sparkling Breakfast was delicious. Bring your rental car if you want to leave resortland and visit the tip of the point which is very pretty. Go to happy corner for a cocktail while you're there.

Beautiful beach front property with hiking trails nearby. Decent food, and a great pool.

Beautiful beach and pool area.
Rooms are plain and minimal.
Construction noise is almost non-stop.

Very clean property right on the beach nice facility although it’s still in the finishing touches. It is a very nice high-quality hotel. The only downside is it’s about a 30 minute taxi ride from the nearest town on a horrible road with lots of potholes and there’s only one little convenient store on the property to buy supplies if you want food so it’s a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but I’m sure in the future it will have more infrastructure and maybe more stores in the local area and a better road!

Great location right on clean long white sandy beach. Hotel still work in progress as only opened about 5 months now. Still needs a gym and Spa. Very clean negative edge pool right next to the beach.

With the understanding that this property is in the midst of a soft opening, after spending a week here I would not even consider returning for at least 6 months. The problems:
-no hot water
-told you can drink the water from the room
-same person 20 minutes later came back and said don’t drink the water
-if you can’t drink the water why was there no bottled water offered in the rooms?
-lights and plugs in the bedroom did not work
-had to search room for a/c remotes as they were not placed back on the obvious wall hanger
-elevators not working and was forced to either stop at every single floor or take the stairs from the 7 th floor
-asked multiple times thru the week to have the room serviced. Maid showed up just once the day before I was leaving
-restaurant in the hotel only open on the weekends
-had to walk 8 minutes down the beach to Vento beach club and food got very old.
-food tastes good but by no means cheap. $4.50 for a small basket of fries
-door between adjoining rooms was paper thin. I heard the guests next store plain as day all week. When they cooked I could smell everything as if they had cooked in my kitchen. And at night if I went to bed before them substantial light poured into my unit from their room
-when I arrived the room was absent soap and shampoo. Had to ask. And wait. And wait
-was told by a front desk worker they have received no training whatsoever. And boy did it show
-as a foreigner the Surfside restaurant had no English version of menu.
