Lovely hosts, clean property and easy to locate !!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. The house is beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable throughout. Mary was an outstanding host friendly and incredibly helpful. She provided excellent recommendations and shared great insights about the local area and must-see sights. She provided us with tea, coffee, fresh fruit, and biscuits. The shared bathroom was spacious and impeccably clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

Vermieterin hat tolle Tipps, was man in der Umgebung machen kann. Pub und kleiner Laden ein paar Minuten zu Fuss entfernt. Flughafen Dublin nicht weit entfernt.

Lovely hosts that do take care of guests. Also a fantastic location, a midpoint between Dublin and Belfast that serves as a perfect getaway to explore the inner country.

Comfortable beds, owner very knowledgeable of local area

This was our second stay at Acrewood House, and once again it was absolutely wonderful. Val and Mary are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable.

During this visit, Val took the time to share fascinating insights into local Irish history, particularly the significance of St. Patrick’s Well (King Cormac’s Well) and The Well of Newnagh (Tobar Niamhrach). Hearing about the history, folklore, and cultural importance of these sites added a special dimension to our stay and gave us a deeper appreciation for the rich heritage of the area. It is clear that Val has a genuine passion for preserving and sharing these stories, which made our experience even more memorable.

Mary and Val were also incredibly accommodating by allowing us an extended checkout time so that my fiancée could comfortably get ready for her big day. This thoughtful gesture removed so much stress from what was already a very important and exciting occasion, and we are extremely grateful for their kindness and understanding.

Acrewood House continues to provide not only excellent accommodation but also genuine hospitality that makes guests feel like family. We cannot thank Mary and Val enough for their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail. We highly recommend Acrewood House and look forward to returning again in the future.

Wonderful and hospitable hosts. Atmosphere, furniture. If you want to experience the Irish atmosphere, you should definitely stay in this wonderful house. I definitely recommend it. And I will definitely come back here if the opportunity arises.
