A hidden gem for anyone seeking tranquility, fresh air, and a genuinely dog-friendly atmosphere.
Pros:

I stayed at Nauksēnu Muiža for the second time this year and enjoyed it just as much as my first visit. I originally planned to stay for a month because they offered a special monthly rate. Honestly, who wants to spend the summer in the city? I certainly don't.

This is one of the best places to stay if you're traveling with a dog. There's a beautiful meandering river right beside the property, complete with a dock where both people and pets can enjoy a swim. The grounds are peaceful and perfect for long walks.

If you're planning to have a bonfire, I recommend picking up a bag of firewood at a gas station on your way. Just five minutes from the manor is Kābeles Pilskalns, a secluded hillfort with a fire pit and picnic table.

One of the things I enjoyed most was meeting the many friendly dog walkers around the property. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and ideal for anyone looking to escape the city and spend time in nature with their dog.

Cons:

One small drawback: the communal fridge is too small. When several rooms are occupied, fridge space becomes very limited. In summer especially, guests want to keep drinks cold and store foods like ice cream. A larger fridge would make a big difference and would be a great improvement for guests.

Ideal for short stay
Pros:

Accomodation in a nice, remote place by river, 9 km from Rūjiena. The manor was built in 1843 and it has definitely seen better days. Large park. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a private bathroom, all the basic needs covered. Peace and quiet. At the end of the corridor there is a large dining hall and kitchen facilities where you can have your meal. There is a small village shop across the road. Due to reasonable price, the location is convenient for travelling to Estonia, too.

Cons:

Nothing much to do outside, except go for a walk. Or rent a boat.

Very comfortable and convenient stay for a good price. Will definitely return.
Pros:

Great price and quality performance, the single room was very spacious and had almost everything that was needed including a large mirror. I had a very comfortable stay here, will definitely return. There was an electric heater in the room which was very nice for colder evenings.

Cons:

Would be good if there was a small shelf in the bathroom for things and maybe a curtain in front of bathroom window for privacy. There were only 2 power outlets in the room, so an extension core for electricity would be beneficial to charge devices.

Cons:

Dušširätik oli väga väike, pigem nagu käterätik. Duširuum asus ma teises otsas, mitu korrust toast allpool. Võiks olla ikka samal korrusel.

Mingi peegel oleks võinud ka toas olla.
