The food and wine.
We had an impression that the original (old) building was neglected when the new one was built… Very dim light in the room, some things were impossible to see. But the main discomfort was caused by the state of the bathroom which was very dirty.
The design in a new building is quite nice, restaurant and older part is really beautiful, breakfast is delicious and generally kitchen and restaurant stand aside from the experience of the hotel property.
First they put us in a room in the old building with visibly old carpets and paint on the walls and absolutely no light coming from the windows ( not saying that the windows are really thin and not insulated). Then in 5 min we found out that our faucet was broken and they put us in a new room in the new building. In a bit we found out that it stinks of canalisation if you leave the door of the bathroom open. Besides - with the bathtub and the shower head 2 m above it all the water during the shower splashed across the floor. Not saying that it is clearly visible that the hotel is not completely finished - the territory is a mess around new block. All the stuff inside the hotel seem so unfriendly that you don’t want to come near them. When I brought it up to the manager before paying he “agreed” to give me a 15 % percent discount for the above mentioned inconveniences which I think is ridiculous a complete scam - taking full price for such quality of the property.
Nice wines & food was also very good. In general the outdoors facilities & restaurant are really great. The esteat is producing their own wine, and has a big garden.
Our room had a really big black mold spot on the ceiling & as soon as we entered the main building the moldy smell is very heavy.
Really nice place with a beautiful atmosphere, shame we only stayed overnight and couldn't enjoy the garden a bit more. Food in the restaurant as well as the breakfast were really good.
Our toilet was running, and it was quite loud, so we had to manually close the water for the night - even when we pointed it out to the staff while checking in, they didn't do anything about it. Also the wifi didn't really work properly.
The hotel and its surroundings are very beautiful.
The restaurant it top quality, and the position is great if you want to visit Necresy monastery and the area around Telavi.
Wines were exeptional
We arranged for a wine tasting, but the experience was quite poor. The person could not speak properly English and did not prepare anything. Frankly, it only takes few hours to do a script and to learn it, and you go with it again and again. Why not to make some special wines available during the tasting? We have been given tha normal menu from the restaurant and were told to order from it. Better to just try the wines that ara available by glass on the meny. It will cost you less, and you will not miss anything.
I liked the location food was great , you must taste the fresh baked bread for breakfast
საშინელი განათებაა ოთახებში, წყალი ჩამოდის,ოთახის აივნები ყველასი საერთოა
The hotel itself and its grounds are beautiful! Many relaxation zones, very peaceful and quiet. As the hotel is small, it never felt crowded, even on the hottest day lounging by the pool 😊
On the first day we arrived we realised we were only given one bathroom towel (for 2 people) snd no pool towels. We asked the reception for the second towel and were told the housekeeping would bring it to us. That didn't happen until the end of the second day (after 2 more requests). No refill of tea/coffee or even toilet paper for guests staying longer than one night.
