Our room overlooked the roof and building mechanicals like AC, ventilation, etc. Shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. There were no cups or glasses in the room. Only 2 single-serve coffee packets. Virtually no decoration in the room.

Pros:

The hotel was new, very clean, room and bed comfortable, ample parking. Nice breakfast including a kitchen cook who prepared eggs and pancakes as you like them. Style is very contemporary, almost stripped down to essential furniture .

Cons:

The cost was high for 1 night ( over $300) for a stripped down standard room- apparently driven by high occupancy in the downtown areas. We learned that the adjoining Marriott-Weston Property called Talisman would have been a little less and really appeared nicer. Apparently Element is for longer term occupants because it had a microwave and little refrigerator. When asking staff what is the difference of the two adjoining properties, we were told that The Talisman is more set up for business and overnight travelers. They share a swimming pool and parking area. This was first time staying here. Staff were very helpful and nice. Both facilities are less than a year old. It was confusing finding the hotel as it is near NE corner behind intersection of 465 and Meridian

The stay was okay. The fire alarm detect kept on flashing and it was right near the bed. Our room is also near houseke
Pros:

Was clean.

Cons:

The bathroom sink was not draining due the pug being down and stuck. Called maintenance but no response. Had to pull up pug in order for the sink to drain. The pug mechanism was broken.

Pros:

Looks nice

Cons:

The flashing green light every 5 seconds on the smoke detector. Reflected off the mirror and was horrendous all night.
