Good central accommodation in an incredible mountain town. Worth the visit!
Pros:

Great location, easy access from limited parking. Spa was not open so we didn’t access it. Very off season for tourists but they opened the restaurant just for us.

Cons:

No view from the room, but balcony (and view) is accessible from the common area.

Le décors vaut la déception!
Pros:

felt trapped, would warn woke-culturally hip fellow travelers to avoid.
Pros:

really nothing...

Cons:

the website photos are very deceiving. our issues began when the hotel owner Luigi called us to inform us the hotel rooms were too small to accomodate our small family of 2 adults and 2 small children, although we've traveled this way many times before. he would not allow us to cancel so forced us to book another room and divide our family, not even putting our rooms side by side. the breakfast is 10 euro per person which is a huge rip off as it doesnt include much more than basic pastries and coffee. walk 10 meters up the street for a better coffee, pastry and experience. the hotel feels quiet, sterile and akward. we travel often and are quite reasonable but this experience felt odd and like a tourist trap... he should have allowed us to cancel our stay so we could have booked ourselves in somewhere else that would accomodate the size of our family and he could have avoided this poor review...

Great for overnight
Pros:

Amazing location

Cons:

Owner was overly involved in out check in. Escorting us even to our room and showing us the bathroom and such. He and his wife. The room was very small, but comfortable. Also no coffee or hot pot in the room and breakfast doesn’t start until 8 am. Not ideal for an early riser.

Hands down the highest quality accommodation in Castelmezzano
Pros:

Everything about the hotel is top notch. The location is a mere 20m from the bus station which is critical for those relying on public transportation. Since the village is small, the hotel is no more than 200m from the main square which overlooks the entire valley where Castelmezzano is nestled. The interior of the reception area, the rest lounge and the restaurant as well as the room all testifies to the impeccable taste of the hotel owner Luigi. There is a lot of vintage furniture and decor that epitomizes contemporary Italian design at its finest while still honoring traditional craftsmanship that’s hard to come by. The room itself is also very comfortable with customized classic furniture. The balcony provides an excellent view of the village. Breakfast was very high quality and abundant in variety. The hotel staff are welcoming and hospitable while the owner himself clearly takes a lot of pride in this family-run hotel, and rightfully so, as he walked us through the story behind a few pieces of the interior.

Cons:

An extra blanket may be helpful and there was not much room for our luggage.
