We had high expectations for our stay at Laborie, given its reputation, but unfortunately the experience fell short of what we anticipated.
A few issues made our stay less comfortable than it should have been. The heated towel rail in our room was not functioning, which was particularly frustrating because of the cold mornings. The WiFi for TV and /internet reception was also very poor throughout our stay..
Breakfast was perhaps the biggest disappointment…we waited 45 minutes to be served, which is simply not acceptable for an establishment of this standard. It left a sour note on what should have been a relaxed morning.
Laborie has so much potential and the setting is beautiful, but the experience needs to match the surroundings. We hope these issues are addressed, as we would love to return with more confidence in the service.

The views.
My room had an ant infestation and I found a cockroach in the bathroom. I reported the ant problem to the hotel staff and there was no apology for the inconvenience caused. They merely cleaned up the dead ants after I sprayed the ants with some doom spray I found in the room.
In addition, the room was extremely hot and the air conditioner in the room could not be adjusted. I reported the problem to the hotel staff and there was no apology. They initially refused to adjust the settings. They rather advised that due to the weather, the rooms were receiving warm air and the air conditioners could not be individually adjusted. After persistent complaints from me, they eventually attended to the problem. Once again, there was no apology from the hotel staff or management.
This is not what I expected from a hotel with such expensive rates.

Heating did not work on a 6C night.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. It’s located in beautiful surroundings. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable.
We had an hour wait at breakfast. That was the only negative.
