Schöne Anlage, angenehmer Aufenthalt - Essen lieber woanders

Sehr schöne Anlage, tolle Zimmer, wunderschöner Ausblick. Am Pool liegen mit Blick auf die Weinberge und einem Glas Wein von der Pool Bar war sehr schön

My wife and I really appreciated how peaceful, beautiful and well-kept Laborie Estate was. The setting is stunning, with a relaxed atmosphere, lovely surroundings and a real sense of history. It also made for an excellent base in Paarl, allowing us to easily explore Stellenbosch and Franschhoek while having a calm and welcoming place to return to each day.

Amazing hotel

We had such a wonderful stay! The check-in process was really smooth, and we absolutely loved our room. The bed was super comfortable, the aircon worked perfectly, and the view from our balcony was simply breathtaking. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like fresh water provided daily and complimentary access to everything in the mini fridge. These small details made our stay feel extra comfortable and convenient.

Breakfast was delicious every single day, with so many options to choose from. We also loved exploring the estate. It was beautifully maintained, with two different restaurants, picnic options, and even a little farm grocery.

The pool was another highlight for us. It was gorgeous, and having a pool bar right there made it even more enjoyable.

Honestly, there was very little we didn’t love. Everything exceeded our expectations. Between the stunning views, the relaxing atmosphere, and the delicious food, this was the perfect mini-moon escape. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway.

Pros:

Das Anwesen war toll, die Gärten drumherum wirklich schön angelegt. Auch die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet. Zudem befindet man sich wirklich direkt in den Weinbergen.

first of all, i would have liked to have been offered the rooms closer to the reception and not have to drive to our room which I did not really like..I paid to get a better room, the pool at the top was also nicer.. we did not see those rooms and would definitely have been happier to stay there. The food at the restaurant and the breakfast - both good and loved the vista at breakfast. We wanted to walk around the property and were told that there was nowhere to walk - we landed up having a good walk and there were arrows to let us know where to go, so the receptionist was uninformed about that which would be disappointing for other people.

Cons:

Too many stairs without railings which are safety hazard.

We ordered two sirloin sandwiches at the Suzanne restuarant which were disgusting. We were expecting at least 100g of meat. In practice there was about 10g of dried up meat!
