Exceeded all of my expectations.
Pros:

Breakfast was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to meet my Vegan preference.

Cons:

All good. A very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Perfect get-away from hustle, bustle and stress.
Pros:

Perfect location, right opposite ferry terminal. Room seemed very recently refurbished, all clean, fresh and comfortable.

Pros:

The Management (Penny & Anton) were impressive. Breakfast was very good and the dinner menu extensive.

Cons:

Room Number 5 is a disaster for sleep with the noise of the bar very audible in the room. Opening hours extend to around 1am so unless you are a raving alcoholic, then avoid this room. The double bed was too hard.

Nice relaxing location - friendly hotel with superb food!
Pros:

Lovely hotel on the quiet harbour front. Spacious newly decorated room with new ensuite. Very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful couple running the hotel - nothing too much trouble. Highlight was the evening meal - no menu - we were asked for preferences in the morning, and food freshly sourced and expertly cooked for the evening! Best hotel food ever (and huge portions).

The perfect Stronsay experience.
Pros:

A wonderfully comfortable room in an excellent location, close to the ferry terminal, and to local facilities. The family who run the hotel are perfect for the location: she is a warm and welcoming hostess, while he is an excellent chef. They both bent over backwards to make us feel at home and to ensure we had a great time enjoying the wonders of Stronsay. We honestly did not want to leave. THANK YOU.

Pros:

We had a beautiful spacious room ~ dog friendly hotel overlooking the pier - delicious breakfasts and dinner options ~ if you are a walker / dog person it has everything you want.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike here.

Fijne, rustige plek met erg lekker eten!
Pros:

Het is een fijne en rustige plek, gerund door vriendelijke mensen. Het eten is erg goed en bestaat deels uit lokaal geteelde groenten. We zijn hier vier dagen geweest en hebben ons niet verveeld! Er zijn mooie wandelingen op het eiland en het is mogelijk om, via de Stronsay development trust, e-bikes te lenen waarmee je echt het hele eiland rond kunt (een aanrader!). Vlakbij het hotel is een buurtwinkel waar je kan inslaan voor de lunch.

Beautiful island and outstanding hosts
Pros:

Warm welcome.
Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent food and a good bar, well stocked. Excellent, tastefully furnished and decorated room. Very good bathroom. We were lucky to get some good weather on Stronsay. The island is quiet, peaceful and beautiful, and the coastline is scenic and good for bird-watching (take your binoculars). Ideal for a walking holiday.

Pros:

Very easy to find as it is straight ahead off the ferry! Small, quaint, quiet hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, updated. Meals prepared by Duncan were amazing! One of the highlights was when he offered to make whatever we fancied for breakfast!

Cons:

Public areas are tight. We were meeting up on Stronsay with extended family, so an area where we could all gather together would have been nice. A few things that could have made our stay better: a direct phone or message board to reach staff, a little better signage regarding location of dining room, how to work mechanicals in room, etc.

The beautiful hotel and the quiet, beautiful Stronsay gave us a great time.
Pros:

The hotel couple was very friendly and we had interesting conversations with them.
The room was very nice and modern, and the bathroom and shower were very comfortable. The heater in the bathroom and the heater in the bedroom kept the rooms pleasantly warm. We could adjust both individually.
We especially enjoyed the excellent food and service, which we were able to enjoy for six days.
