Nice comfortable room; welcoming staff.
When the a/c unit outside my room it pumped out cooking smells (not from current cooking service as the restaurant was closed). The balcony was a bit tired.
An older building so perhaps fewer electrical sockets than one would hope for these days.
Die Lage war gut
Wir hatten nur eine Übernachtung und das Restaurant und die Bar waren geschlossen und es gab keine Möglichkeit sich unten im Hotel aufzuhalten.
Great location, friendly staff, food good using local produce and our room had an outside seating area which was a bonus.
The staff were amazing, especially Kirsty. Nothing was too much trouble and service was always delivered with a smile.
The dinner menu. Very pricey and overrated.
food was excellent , and staff friendly
Stunning setting, great food, great staff
Good location
Apart from one body lotion there were no shampoos, soaps or conditioners !!
I liked the character and grounds
Nothing comes to mind
Dinner was very good.
No real areas for improvement. The stay was as expected.
Beautiful views, great location, stunning rooms and decor.
Food was excellent and the whole place is without fault.
This was my fifth stay at Orestone Manor, and I’m pleased to report that standards remain as high as ever. It’s a well-appointed, family-run hotel in a truly stunning location, overlooking Labrador Bay — a view that never loses its magic.
The team run a tight and thoughtful ship, with warm, attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are spotless, characterful, and comfortably furnished — cared for with pride and attention to detail.
The Bay Restaurant continues to impress, offering food of a very high standard. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and classic charm. It’s a real asset to the hotel and a draw in its own right.
The residents’ breakfast is excellent value at £10 — generous, freshly prepared, and served with the same care as dinner. A fine start to the day, whether you’re off exploring the coast or simply taking in the view.
Orestone Manor remains a firm favourite. For anyone seeking comfort, quality, and a touch of timeless English hospitality in a breathtaking setting, it’s hard to beat. I’ll be back again, no doubt.
