This was my fifth stay at Orestone Manor, and I’m pleased to report that standards remain as high as ever. It’s a well-appointed, family-run hotel in a truly stunning location, overlooking Labrador Bay — a view that never loses its magic.
The team run a tight and thoughtful ship, with warm, attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are spotless, characterful, and comfortably furnished — cared for with pride and attention to detail.
The Bay Restaurant continues to impress, offering food of a very high standard. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and classic charm. It’s a real asset to the hotel and a draw in its own right.
The residents’ breakfast is excellent value at £10 — generous, freshly prepared, and served with the same care as dinner. A fine start to the day, whether you’re off exploring the coast or simply taking in the view.
Orestone Manor remains a firm favourite. For anyone seeking comfort, quality, and a touch of timeless English hospitality in a breathtaking setting, it’s hard to beat. I’ll be back again, no doubt.
Nothing
Beautiful hotel and staff were extremely polite and professional

Very nice stay but got very expensive
Paying £300 for a meal for two plus £70 for wine and then they ask for a £4 supplement for the cheese board ,
It ended up costing us over £800 for two nights, very greedy people
We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had the most amazing time. The coach house was perfect, and we absolutely loved having our own hot tub such a special touch and a great way to ring in the New Year. The staff were incredible from start to finish, so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The fireworks were absolutely awesome and made the night feel extra special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate one of the best stays we’ve had and memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend!
Great room
Awkward turning into hotel...but we got there
Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and plentiful. The dinners were excellent really enjoyed the venison. On a level with any of the Michel star restaurants we have visited. We will again, for the food!
Room ceiling! Also head board.
The hotel is amazing
Nothing to dislike
Very welcoming staff, clean, lovely dinner and breakfast
-
Room, view, breakfast, staff.
Journey through lanes at night to get there ( following sat nav. ) No gym...
The whole experience was good
A real ‘at home ‘ feeling. Excellent staff and service.
Notice in bathroom telling me the toiletries could be purchased and
what would happen if I took them (my card would be charged)- made me feel as though I was being given an unnecessary warning. Likewise about making sure the shower curtain was inside the bath when showering otherwise water would pool on floor and seep through to room below. I feel this is unnecessary - shower curtain is outdated and should be replaced with a good quality bath screen and the floor should be adequately sealed then the problem would not arise and the ‘warning’ would not be necessary.
A Great find! Comfortable room and lounge, friendly helpful staff and quiet location.
Everything a bit out orestone manor is superb clean comfortable and the whole setting lovely home from home friend had a wedding party here and it was lovely as loads of different areas to relax in and food was good all the staff are friendly and so relaxed

Food was delicious and all the staff were very efficient and caring.
Room comfortable although a 5ft "topping" on a 4ft6in base bed was not so comfy and not what we expected!!
