Localização ótima para conhecer os templos
Pros:

O hotel fica muito bem localizado para quem quer visitar os templos e a zona arqueológica.
Alguns templos estão a uma curta caminhada a pé.
Quarto muito espaçoso, com varanda e vista muito bonita.
Funcionários muito simpáticos, eficientes e prestáveis.

Cons:

Gostamos de tudo.

Lovely hotel with great staff and facilities.
Pros:

Great room with a nice balcony with a nice view. The staff was great and helpful - They served us dinner on the rooftop and it was delicious. The server was efficient and kind.

Cons:

We were supposed to stay a second night there but we were told that there was an issue with our reservation and that we had to find another hotel for the second night.

Pros:

Habitación buena, limpia, cama cómoda. No pude probar el desayuno ya que tenía safari. La cena bufet poca variedad, pero bueno.

Cons:

Estaba al lado de obras. Tampoco pude disfrutar del hotel mucho.

Peaceful and Calm!
Pros:

The hotel is close to all the sacred places in Anuradhapura. Staff is so friendly and they were so eager to attend to all our needs. The room we booked was spacious and clean. All the necessary things were included such as the tea/coffee making station, Cloth ironing table with electric iron, Hair dryer etc...

The bathroom was also spacious and equipped with everything. Balcony area was also peaceful.

We had a Srilankan breakfast at the rooftop restaurant.

Overall it was a peaceful stay.

Pros:

We had a pretty good stay overall. The staff were nice and helpful, and the room was clean and comfy. The location was great—close to food spots and the pooja nagaraya . Food was decent too. Good value for the price, and we’d stay here again.

Cons:

However, I did notice a slight odor in the bathroom, and there was no hot water during my visit. I’m sure these are things that can be improved, and I appreciate the overall hospitality.✨️

Lovely staff, nice big airy room with balcony
Pros:

Great views from the balcony of jungle, lots of birdlife
Very big airy room.
Staff were delightful and met us with flannels and cold drink every time we came back to the hotel.
Good bathroom and toiletries.

Cons:

No safety deposit box; this was our second stop and most hotels didn't (or if they did it wasn't bolted down) but there was CCTV in the common areas and good locks on the doors. (Sri Lanka was much safer than our initial stay in Colombo lead us to believe !)
Building work next door started 7am and was a bit noisy from the balcony.
Bit of a walk to anywhere you might want to go.

Good for short stay
Pros:

Location is good just for a short stay as hotel doesn’t have big garden or pool and close to hotel there’s nothing to do. For short stay rice fields seen from the balconies look really good and chilling. Rooms quite good established and quite big and comfortable to stay in. Personnel are very helpful. What we didn’t liked - selection of food seemed a bit limited and somehow takes a long time to prepare it. Restaurant on top is quite worn off and really not pleasant place to have a food. Sheets and towels seemed worn off too.

A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Adventure in Anuradhapura
Pros:

We recently stayed at Manthila Hotel in Anuradhapura and had a delightful experience. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with spacious rooms featuring large balconies and bathrooms equipped with hot water. Upon arrival, the receptionist warmly welcomed us with a refreshing juice, setting a friendly tone for our stay.

The hotel's location is quite convenient. The city center, complete with a shopping center and various shops, is only about a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride away. We also visited the sacred city of Anuradhapura, which was a 15-minute ride from the hotel.

Breakfast and dinner is served at the 4th floor on the rooftop.We ordered Sri lankan breakfast that were tasty but quite slipy for us .

There was some ambient noise from nearby construction activity, which we didn't mind as they stopped with working at 6pm.. Overall, the rooms were as nice and clean as shown in the pictures.

I would definitely choose to stay at Manthila Hotel again on my next visit.

Cons:

Bats flying around in the rooftop terrace where dinner was served but we did not mind. Food is a bit too spicy but I mentioned at reception to prepare us no spicy food but I would also inform the staff at the rooftop just in case.
