La atención del personal y su amabilidad
The hotel is nice and close to the main attractions in the old town. The room was comfortable for three people, and the views from the top-floor dining terrace with the sea view were very beautiful. Also, the staff was very helpful during check-in; they allowed us to check in early and even let us have breakfast on our check-in day.
However, we faced a major issue with the location map. The location mentioned on Booking.com is different from the actual location by around 150 meters. I specifically booked this hotel because it looked closer to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia on the map, so this discrepancy caused us a big disappointment. Because of the booking conditions, I also could not cancel it. When I complained, the hotel staff could not satisfy us about this mistake and they were not apologetic either. Also, there is no lift in the facility.

All the staff were amazing, always helping with anything they can. They help you with information regarding not just sightseeing but also traveling, shopping, helping with your itinerary etc.
Rooms were cosy and very clean.
Breakfast was very good with a great view from the roof terrace.

Les lits doubles très petits pour deux personnes, les chambres vraiment petites limite étouffante, les couvertures aussi très petite. Sur booking les photos montre une vu incroyable sur la mer depuis la terrasse du restaurant mais malheureusement la vu n’était pas du tout comme sur la photo. La vu était plus sur les toitures délabré et on voit de loin la mer.
We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Ayasofya. The hotel is located in a great area, within easy walking distance of the main attractions, yet it remains remarkably quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep.
The room was comfortable, spotless, and very well maintained. Housekeeping standards were excellent throughout our stay.
We were traveling with an elderly family member, and the staff were especially attentive and considerate. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to help made the stay much easier and more enjoyable for our entire group.
The breakfast was very good, and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. If there was something specific we needed or preferred, they were always happy to help and provide it whenever possible. This personalized attention made us feel especially well cared for.
What really made the difference was the hospitality of the entire team. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, making us feel welcome from arrival to departure.
Overall, Hotel Ayasofya offers an excellent combination of comfort, cleanliness, location, and outstanding service. We would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.
