Weeknd in May with children - perfect place to learn about city’s history and Turkish culture

We had a wonderful stay at Aya Sofya Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect — within easy walking distance of the main historical attractions.

The breakfasts were fresh, tasty, and offered a great variety, so everyone in our family found something they enjoyed. Turkish coffee was delicious — great way to start the day!

The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. Their friendliness made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.

We highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a comfortable and well-located place in Istanbul!

It is a nice boutique hotel for young fit people. Staff are friendly. Room was comfortable.

Cons:

Not disability focused at all. Entrance steps have no grab rails. Breakfast is served on 4th floor. Lots of hot food, I only went first morning, nothing for me to make arduous effort to go back. Not even one English speaking TV station - world news if nothing else. The cleaning staff ... I observed them taking photos of the do not disturb notices on the doors, (fair enough if they can't clean the rooms) but by chance i was leaving my untouched room, so they put on the do not disturb sign and also photgraphed it. I would have let them in if they knocked. Lastly, I didn't like being asked to rate them 10/10 on Booking.com. That immediately reduced my assessment of the place.

Decided to rest, but after such a rest I became mire tired.

Cons:

1. The breakfast at the hotel is terrible: very limited selection, sour food, no fish or meat, and the fruit is stale and not fresh.
2. The hotel is extremely noisy; it is impossible to sleep. The noise starts at 6 a.m., so it is simply impossible to rest.
3. On the second day of our stay, we were leaving the hotel in a hurry for an excursion. A receptionist stopped us and told us to pack our belongings because they needed our room and would relocate us. The only reason given was that they “needed our room”.
4. Finally, when we left the hotel after our stay, the hotel marked our booking as “cancelled”, so technically I couldn’t leave my review of my stay. And only after writing a complaint to Booking, I could do it.

Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt mit herzlichem Service!
Pros:

Unser Aufenthalt im Ayasofys war wirklich wunderbar! Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns wie zu Hause gefühlt! Das Zimmer war sauber, modern eingerichtet und bot alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht (auch wenn es ziemlich klein ist). Doch das wahre Highlight war das außergewöhnlich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal! Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal! Mitten drin, aber doch sehr ruhig und sogar mit Meerblick.
Wir können das Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Alles was perfect! De locatie, het personeel is supervriendelijk en doet altijd een stapje extra voor je. De kamer is schoon en wordt naar wens schoongemaakt. Het ontbijt is super lekker, divers en vers. Het personeel loopt rond met een glimlach. Wij waren met 5 en dat was heel goed te doen in de ruime kamers. De locatie is dichtbij (op loopafstand) de belangrijkste musea, moskeeen en paleizen. Ook het OV is dichtbij. Een dikke aanrader!

Confortabil atat din punctul de vedere al locatiee cat si al cazarii.
Pros:

Micul dejun a fost bun. Cafea turceasca delicioasa. Locatia este foarte buna, aproape de majoritatea obiectivelor. Camera trimpla situata la parter, destul de spatioasa.
