Worth the price you pay, but not high end luxury
Pros:

I arrived late in Cairns so was able to check in late! They also have security until 5:30am which made me (solo traveller) feel much safer.

Cons:

The facilities are a little dated, but worth what you spend.

Pros:

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, tidy room and restaurant. Easy key return. Check in was easy.

Cons:

The overpowering smell of bleach when we opened the door. Turned the fan up and kept the door open to clear the air. No teaspoon to stir coffee. Noisy aircon motors not far from room. The little fridge defrosted and leaked on the floor. Both overhead lights were on the same switch which didn't suit when we wanted the brightest one off. No cold water in fridge.
