Pros:

La propreté du logement.

La gentillesse du personnel qui s’est adapté à notre arrivée tardive et qui a été à notre écoute le temps de notre court séjour. Merci à eux.

Cons:

Petit bémol pour l’insonorisation des chambres qui fait qu’on entend l’église ou les bruits extérieurs facilement. Mais ce n’est qu’un petit détail si on n’y reste que quelques nuits.

Excellent value, clean comfortable accommodation with very helpful staff
Pros:

Clean, spacious room with comfortable bed, good bathroom facilities and seating area outside our room. Nice little pool which was very clean. Very helpful staff. A 10 minute walk to a very nice uncrowded beach.

A restful stop before flying home.
Pros:

My husband and l spent two nights at Wetland Resort before flying back to the UK. The first postive we noticed was that the hotel was exactly as the photos on Booking.com, which we found quite rare while travelling around Sri Lanka for a month.

This is a fairly new small family run hotel adjoining the family home. It's worth considering if you prefer a large estate with pool and bars. The hotel is very smart, clean, and well-maintained. The rooms, including the bathroom, are modern, spacious, and comfortable (two air units) with a shared balcony overlooking the pool. We especially noted a large unit for both cases (one normally ends up on the floor) as in most hotels. The large spotless bathroom had a rain and hand-held shower with plenty of instant hot water. Although another towel rail and bathroom shelf (plenty of space ) would have been a bonus but this is a minor note.

Breakfast was the usual Western style but plentiful and sufficient.

I do have to mention that all the staff were extremely warm, helpful, and happy to answer any queries.

Overall, l would recommend this hotel to family and friends for a restful stop before flying home. The owner can arrange a private transfer to the airport, 30 minutes drive.

Cons:

• A musical bakery tuk-tuk driving around from 5.30am, so will wake up those sensitive to noise.

• The pool is very pretty and an ideal temperature, but with a little thought, the space around the pool and ajoining areas could be better utilised with more seating and sun loungers (currently only 4) in place.

• To note and be considered, the hotel is in a residential area with very few restaurants or bars nearby by. We did take a tuk-tuk back into Negombo for dinner, which was a very long 30-minute journey each way. You can, of course, eat at the hotel, but this may not suit everyone due to the lack of atmosphere. We chose this option on our second night, which was pleasant, although the food was fine but nothing outstanding.
• Again, it's worth considering the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. The beach is picturesque and deserted but with no facilities.

Buen lugar para despedir Sri Lanka
Pros:

La limpieza, el trato de los trabajadores, que tuviera una piscina, el desayuno ,que nos sirvieran la cena en la habitación y que nos dejaran salir a las 12:00. El entorno también es agradable y lo percibí seguro.

Cons:

La playa está a unos 10 minutos caminando, esto solo es información, no una queja.
La playa es muy bonita y el atardecer fue espectacular y bastante limpia

A great place to stay that is not far from the airport with excellent hospitality.
Pros:

This was a great small property and from start to finish we experienced warmth and excellent hospitality.
Silva was an excellent host who gave us good advice on restaurants, experiences etc.
we had a great seafood meal in the nearby Dutch Trails and also at The Wetlands Resort.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
We also enjoyed the pool too.
