Not a good experience.
Pros:

Room was spacious and clean.

Cons:

The extra bed given was not comfortable. It had the split, I didn't use it, when I complained it the next morning, they didn't bother at all. Still ended up paying for it.

Nice property for couple of nights stay during visit to Mantralayam.

We had requested the staff for extra bed and early breakfast for one person.. both were not provided.. but they took additional money for one extra person during checkin.. what was the point of taking extra money when amenities were not provided.. also when resident guests ask for extra sides with their meal (example raitha) it's tacky to tell it will be charged extra..

Stay at Vimala Regency - mixed feelings! Over-charging by Booking.com - shocking!!
Pros:

Breakfast was fine. Kitchen and Serving Staff at the Hot Zone and Cold Zone were very helpful, quick, and served us well. The food we had for dinner was excellent, some dishes were even better than what we have eaten in many fine dining restaurants in bigger cities.

The Hotel has been built on a grand scale, obviously at considerable investment, something not seen even in some big cities. It must surely be a new landmark in Adoni and the region.

Cons:

The Hotel appears to be in a "pre-soft opening" stage, and not fully equipped to handle guests in a manner that matches the tariffs charged.

There are many flaws in the design, layout, and facilities in the rooms and common areas. Here are a few examples:
1) we had to walk past several of the Hotel's glass panelled offices and/or business centres to reach the Presidential Suite, thereby affording zero privacy.
2) The specs and finishes of the lifts are low grade and just do not match those of the rest of the hotel.
3) Covered car parking space was not available.
4) In the Deluxe Twin bed room, the glass door of the bathroom bangs into the shower partition glass door which bangs into the showerhead!!
5) There were no telephones in the rooms.
6) And many more ............!

There are several clear signs of poor maintenance. The Management needs to seriously and quickly focus on improving this, else going downhill is easy.

This biggest shock was that Booking.com has substantially over-charged us - you have taken Rs 8217 and Rs 4569 (including taxes) for our two rooms versus Rs 5999 and Rs 3958 (including taxes) offered to any walk-in guest. I request Booking.com to refund the excess amounts charged - Rs 2218 and Rs 611.
