A real gem, you can't go wrong for the price and quality! Recommending to both Japanese and non
Pros:

The staff were very warm and welcoming. The room had been recently updated, it was equally comfortable, clean and in perfect condition. The food at dinner and breakfast was not too much, but not too little, it was just right in terms of portions. Though it was very traditional Japanese meals, it was very acceptable for perhaps those who might not be completely open to "washoku" - very little raw or uncooked items, though there were some, it was easy to consume even by Westerners. The free alcoholic beverages (and ice cream) were a nice BONUS! Also the non-reserved (and also free) private baths were also a GREAT thing to have!

Cons:

one or two of the public onsen baths need updating, but the private baths (on the 1st floor near the restaurant) were clean and updated, so no complaints!

Super getaway um Ruhe und Entspannung mit Kultur zu verbinden
Pros:

Der Ort ist einfach nur herrlich. Das Hotel mit den Onsen hat so viel zu bieten. Die Zimmer mit Balkon sind sehr komfortabel ausgerichtet. Köstlichen Tee im Zimmer und authentisches japanisches Essen. Ich empfehle allen 2 Nächte hier zu verbringen, idealerweise nach einer Grosstadt wie Tokio um ein bisschen Ruhe und Entspannung mit Kultur zu verbinden.

We really enjoyed the private onsen aswell as the amazing service/amenities that where provided. The rooms where comfortable and after a good soak in the onsen put you right to bed.

Cons:

The traditional japanese dinner wasn't our thing but if you like that kind of food it would be amazing.
