The hotel is very tired. Most rooms we saw were in need of redecorating. Our room was tiny and hard to get around. Six flights of stairs and quite steep to get to our room. No lift in the building.

Needs a full refurb, beds creak, mattresses lumpy, en-suite tired, breakfast disappointing….

It stated as breakfast was included when I booked it and when it was confirmed it didn't show that we had breakfast which was misleading.... also the room definitely needs a revamp, old curtains and carpet looked shabby, sink was outside of bathroom 🫣

Breakfast was included (continental) but the choice was very limited, a few more items would have been welcome.
The climb up the stairs to the upper bedrooms is considerable, needs taking into account if you are elderly or have mobility issues. Some facilities need repair/fixing, it looks as if this is in progress.

The property is in need of a complete renovation

Everything about it was shocking

4th floor without elevator. I go to the gym and only had hand luggage but good luck if you have a big suitcase. Rooms were small and the walls did not look super clean. Breakfast was the worse. Don't offer it if it has to be a bit of toast, instant coffee and cereals.

The building was very scruffy and dilapidated. The room floor sloped. The reading lights didn’t work. The paper was peeling off the walls. The decor was very poor.

Really tired poor shower

On arrival I went to the toilet and the toilet holder fell off the wall
Went through the door into the bedroom which had a Fire Door sticker on it and the bottom hinge was loose and it seemed as if I opened and closed it much more it would completely fall off into the room
The shower was made in a converted cupboard and had no extractor fan in it. The shower bracket was falling off the wall.
Because there was no fan in the shower the bedroom was damp
The TV was through the internet and kept on buffering so you could not watch a complete program. I suspect they had no TV licence.
The paintwork was shoddy with Yale locks painted over instead of being removed and the doors repaired
The carpet had water stains from people getting out of the shower to dry themselves
We paid for the room for 4 nights including breakfast
Payment was taken on 10 Sept 2026
on 13 Sept 2026 - 1 day before arrival recd an email saying the could not provide breakfast and it would be at The Lancaster Hotel
On 14 Sept 2026 when we arrived they said The Lancaster Hotel was about 15 Min walk away ie approx 1 mile
That meant 1 mile each way for breakfast 2 miles walk - NOT ACCEPTABLE
We were advised we would get a refund - NOT RECD YET
We tried to get a breakfast near the hotel but it was all Turkish or foreign
On our return journey to Jersey we had breakfast at Heathrow
For myself and my Wife we had 2 coffees and 2 English breakfasts
No Orange Juice, No Cereal, No bakery.
The cost was £52.80
As we stayed at the Parkwood for 4 nights
That totals £52.80 x 4 = £211.20

I will attempt to attach a copy of the receipt for the breakfast from Airport Retail Enterprises LHR The Globe.
