Good location for a few days
Pros:

Our unit was clean and fully equipped. My wife really liked the built-in washing machine. Adjacent to the property, a fruit and vegetable market sellling pre made stirfry and salads. Good value for the money.

Cons:

No TV,. The wife mentioned no hair dryer available.

The Quality and Charming atmosphere of this hotel are second to none.
Pros:

I have been fortunate enough to have stayed in many 5 Star Grand Hotels all over the world and yet the Cardrona Hotel is the pick of the bunch. Behind the visible heritage of this historic building from the road, this hotel provides a tangible journey through time that evokes a sense of bygone elegance and luxury. The ambiance of the indoor and outdoor areas, together with the very friendly staff, complement the quality of this establishment and their excellent service.
Very “Highly Recommended”.

LOVELY HISTORIC HOTEL
Pros:

This is a Historic Hotel and that is what you are paying for. All the decor and furniture are traditional. Our room was very pleasant, bathroom was good, the shower splashed everywhere though.
Dinner was delicious. Huge servings.
The garden area is just beautiful.

Cons:

There was no fridge in our room, would have thought that would be mandatory.

Fabulous, staff were friendly, service amazing.
Pros:

Stunning location, only downside was the fittings in the old windows made them tricky to have open but otherwise everything was wonderful

Cons:

As above the windows fittings need a check, most people like air circulation

What a beautiful setting. The historic pub and gorgeous gardens made this well worth the stopover.

Cons:

Guests should just be mindful that some rooms are upstairs, so perhaps request something downstairs if you might struggle with carrying your luggage up.

Beautiful, Historic Hotel Not to Be Missed
Pros:

Beautiful, historic hotel among beautiful gardens, spa, beer garden with fireplace, and dining opportunities. Dinner was exceptional. The outside garden spa facilities were enjoyed by the both of us.

Cons:

Shower stall tiles were extremely slippery. Quiet hour stated to start at 9:00 pm but extremely loud crowd continued until after 11:00 pm right outside our bedroom windows.

Ein sehr schönes, historisches Hotel mit besonderer Atmosphäre. Alles war gut und besonders. Das Frühstück, die Zimmer, der Garten mit den Blumen, die Sitzecke am Kamin. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Cons:

Das Hotel liegt abgelegen. Als Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung der Umgebung (Queenstown, Wanaka) durch den Weg über die Passstraße bedingt geeignet.
