Amazing stop over.
Pros:

Loved the history. Friendly staff. Location beautiful. Comfortable rooms. Food is excellent.

No option of half portions for food for those with smaller appetites

Beautiful hotel and restaurant for a special occasion. Bed and room were so so comfortable, dinner in the bar was excellent. Enjoyed the spa pool. Beautiful gardens as well

Old outdated rooms we have stayed here before this room was the best yet but a 6 on the overall context and this will be our last time staying here😔

Come-again Cardrona
Pros:

Everything! We were so pleased we chose to stay up at Cardrona for the four days of Easter. Super-comfortable beds, great food options from breakfast to dinner in both the bar and restaurant, set in pretty gardens, log fires, friendly and helpful staff - together with the location's easy access to explore both ends of the road over the Crown Range - it all made for a most enjoyable stay - one we hope to repeat.

Awesome history
Pros:

We stayed at the Cardrona mainly for the history of the place which didn’t disappoint. Enjoyed the glass houses which we spent a few hours in.

I will be back!
Pros:

Such a lovely piece of history. Well looked after and the rooms were quirky, but contained everything I needed, including a decent bed and shower.
Staff were lovely to deal with.

I highly recommend the Cardrona Hotel.
Pros:

Staying at the hotel was a perfect end to our day, visiting family in Wanaka and trying a tasting at the distillery on our way up the Crown range. The gardens and grounds were in bloom and looked amasing. The Mt Cook salmon and Royalburn lamb rump meal was exceptional.

We enjoyed access to Gardens, Hot tub, Fireplace, Lounge and Bar areas.

Only that our two rooms booked were not close together, but not a drama.
