Nice property with delicious restaurant and helpful staff, very busy place.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant, nice garden area to sit in, clean rooms.

Cons:

It’s extremely busy…lots of people passing through to eat at the restaurant, rooms are not very private. We were there on a Saturday so music played late, and hard to sleep.

Good vibe, great staff, nice meals
Pros:

It was okay. The evening meal was great, and so was breakfast. Great staff nice atmosphere.

Cons:

Our room was against the laundry and we had washing machines going when we were trying to go to sleep.

With all the hotels of this age although comfortable and well managed the insulation. Between rooms s is always lacking resulting in disturbance from the neighbors

😈 Fantastic except for the canned music
Pros:

Accom was perfect, charming. The burgers were delish. Special shout-out to Danni - so welcoming, friendly and full of useful info. Management - please give that woman a pay raise, she's special.

Been a favourite since visiting in 1997 ( was for sale then wish had bought it .) absolutely love it

Love the history and the hotel itself, usually stay there at least yearly
Pros:

Location, the history - even though it has new owners it remains the same. Gardens are beautiful, gardener is doing an awesome job. Staff are great, take a few minutes to talk to you instead of rushing off.

Cons:

Would love a wee stool or something on my side if the bed to put my phone, night cream, contacts and sunglasses on

Nice and cosy
Pros:

I liked the location and cleanliness and the cafe

Cons:

the room was small for 4 persons and there was no table to keep the hot water kettle - it was in a cupboard which was not very comfortable
