Could be better
Pros:

The rooms are nice, but not so clean (bathroom). In the First Night we did not have hot Water, but it was fixes the day After. But we had to ask twice for fixing the light in the bathroom and for Tools paper. Some Staff members tried to their best.

Cons:

The rooms were not made up during the stay, although there is a Lot of Staff.

A room with a good view and clean.
Pros:

The view of the Stupas across the lake was great, especially after dark. Just like the pictures on their website.
The natural life; squirrels, monkeys and peacocks were delightful to see.
The service was good. Very hospitable.

Cons:

Unfortunately the traffic on the road outside was a disturbance.

Stay at Abhaya Mandapa
Pros:

The room was very modern and beautiful. The sheets were also very brand new and clean. The service was very good, Prasana made our stay very enjoyable and peaceful. To summarise our stay at abhaya mandapa was extremely peaceful. Thanks.

Camera con bella vista sul lago e sulle stupa. C era un rumore sul tetto fatto da una pompa/autoclave che avrebbe potuto disturbare il sonno, lo abbiamo segnalato e il direttore ha risolto il problema.

Pros:

Tutto fantastico : posizione, pulizia, vista magnifica, la stanza con tutti i comfort. Il manager una persona molto cortese e disponibile. Ha sempre soddisfatto ogni mia richiesta, soprattutto relativa al cibo che è stato ottimo. Consigliatissimo.

Hotel location looks nice, and service level is fairly OK.
Cons:

We wanted to go out around 4am to attend for religious function. We came out and noticed gate has been closed and no security person to open the gate. And tried to find any staff member to open the gate but failed. Finally, I had to get the phone call for the No indicated in the web and some lady answered and as I understood she is from outside and called to the staff and opened the gate. This process took almost 45Mts and we got delayed for the religious function.

Amazing staff, food and location.
Pros:

We stayed in Room 9 on the ground floor from October 16th to 18th, 2025. The location offered a breathtaking view of the Ruwanwelisaya and three other stupas, especially at sunrise over Abaya Lake.

If you book an upstairs room, you can enjoy these views right from your window. From the restaurant, you can see the Ruwanwelisaya while enjoying your meal.
2 minutes drive to the Thuparamaya and less than 10 minutes drive to Ruwanwelisaya and Sri Maha bodies.

Cons:

If there is heavy shower with wind , the mist may enter the room.

Gorgeous location, good for short stay
Pros:

The location is amazing, and the room itself for a very short stay is comfortable and sufficient.

Cons:

We requested the extra bed to be removed from the room, which they said could not be done, which left the space very limited, and the variety of food on the mini mini buffet has nothing suitable for a Europeans, should they not eat local culture food.

Розташування та сам готель чудові. Гарний вид на храми. Особливо ввечері, коли храми освічуються . Озерце перед готелем. Чисто в кімнаті. Затишно дуже. Є кондиціонер,що на Шрі-Ланці є важливим.
Мені дуже сподобалося відношення працівників готелю. Вони всі чоловіки. Дуже, дуже вічливі. Хвилюються, чи гостям зручно та комфортно. Я була вперше на вечері ,страви замовила,але навіть не здогадувалася,що їжа може бути такою гострою. Шріланкійці їдять та готують дуже гострі страви. Враховуйте це . Але персонал одразу ж мені запропонував почекати,та вони приготували мені знову не гостру страву. І як ждентельмени подарували квіти лотоса. Які ж вони молодці. Виправили ситуацію. В кімнаті яка знаходилася над кухнею, я щовечора до півночі та зрання чула сильні звуки ,як вони сік роблять. Тобто шумоізоляція погана.
Висновок: чудове місце, чудові щирі люди. Рекомендую.
