Smaller-ish hotel, but beautiful, serene, and calm. Just like staying at a mini resort!
Pros:

We only stayed overnight prior to crossing to Gilimanuk/Bali so we just needed a place to sleep for the night and Ndalem Mataram was a good choice! The property is beautiful and well maintained, just like a small resort! Very serene and calm, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but not far from Ketapang Ferry Terminal (port). There is a convenience store right across from the property and a few small restaurants as well.

Cons:

Nothing that we can think of.

Worst stay - will certainly never come back!

Nothing!!!

Cons:

Aircon didn't work! Toilet leaked, so the floor was wet! Pool was not clean! Restaurant was unfortunately only open for breakfast! It smelled very unpleasant in the room and in the bathroom! We also found leftovers on the floor from the previous guest! We had Balinese friends with us who were also horrified!

Beautiful Villa in Banyuwangi
Pros:

The facilities are amazingly beautiful and well maintained. Staff are exceptional and friendly. They helped us find some local cuisine and were checking in on us. Location is great and walking distance to shops, ATMs, Indomart is right opposite etc. They also have a half court for basketball, a swing and a friendly cat :)

Cons:

Some basic facilities such as soap, creamer, toilet roll etc will make short stays more comfortable for guests. Towels were old, worn and torn.

Pros:

Staff nya baik. Waktu disana sedang musim hujan. Sepatu basah sama sekali. Stahh menolong untuk menngeringkan selama 2 hari.

Cons:

Ketersediaan resto. Terlebih diwaktu tamu tidak bisa keluar untuk makan karena kendala hujan atau lainnya.

Lovely resort but needs stricter rules on noise from guests
Pros:

The location is great and the room is comfortable; the beds are lovely to sleep on. Overall the resort looks beautiful - lots of greenery, fish ponds, and the rooms are traditional dark wood so very pretty from the outside!

Cons:

It’s hard to express my disappointment because it’s not directed at the staff or the resorts itself. Unfortunately there are no reviews that mention noise and it was a big problem! You can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbours. Unfortunately I had a family with children next door and at 1am they were singing very loudly. Then they woke up at 5am and started talking again, followed by guests playing basketball on the resorts court at 6am. There needs to be stricter rules on noise and staff/security to enforce it as it’s not fair to other guests. There are no signs in the rooms or rules at check in asking guests to be quiet from 10pm-8am (for example). I checked out early as I couldn’t sleep there anymore; I was exhausted and from 6am there were children running all over the resort, jumping in the pool and parents outside the room talking.

It would also be best to take your own mosquito spray for the room. I used body spray but these are dark wood rooms that mosquitos love to hide in, so my face was attacked in the night. Maybe the resort could provide a small baygon in each room to help with this..

Its hot room
Pros:

Location, the rooms and the staffs

AC is unable to cool down the room temperature. We have to check out one day earlier as it's impossible to sleep in the hot room.
