Good location and amenities, weird staff behavior
Pros:

The location is pretty good. Good for pickups to the parks and close to downtown

Cons:

The staff experience was somewhat inconsistent. Upon arrival, I was asked to wait about 30 minutes for my room to be prepared. I explored the city in the meantime, and when I returned, I was given my room key and directed to the room. However, two days later, I was informed that I had not completed check-in, which appeared to be an internal oversight rather than something communicated to me.

Additionally, whenever I purchased bottled water from the hotel, I was repeatedly asked to pay immediately rather than having the charges added to my room. This felt unusual, especially given the remote desert location where guests are likely to purchase water frequently.

Muy buena experiencia
Pros:

las habitaciones con calefacción (super importante ya que en las noches hace mucho frio) y nos entregaron calientacamas a solicitud que también hizo toda la diferencia con otros hostales de la zona que no tienen este beneficio. muy bien ubicado a pasos de calle principal lo que permite salir a comer o comprar y estar al lado de todo. Si tienes tours temprano, te preparan un desayuno para llevar super conveniente.

Perfeito em todos os sentidos!
Pros:

O Hostel Katarpe é simplesmente perfeito! O pessoal muito atencioso, prestativo e prontos a ajudar da maneira que conseguem. A localização é ótima, praticamente é na Caracoles, de tão perto. Tudo muito perfeito, se precisar sair cedo para passeios eles deixam o café pronto, limpam o quarto todo dia se precisar, simplesmente perfeito!

Fine but wish I found a nicer place to stay for 4 days.

Outside our room there was a nice sitting area.

Cons:

The bathroom wasn’t so nice. Clean enough. Since most people take tours and leave early it would be nice if their breakfast time was 6:30am instead of 8am. There was no bathroom except for the room to use.
