I went to Lyme Regis specifically for fossil hunting, and it turned out to be a truly relaxing trip
Pros:

I absolutely loved the historic charm of this 18th-century building, along with the excellent breakfast and the warm hospitality of the owners. The location is ideal, as the beach and all the local amenities are just a short walk away

Good
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good location with parking. Good breakfast.

Cons:

The property is quirky but a bit dated and tired looking in places, as is probably the case with most properties of this age.

Pros:

Loved the old building had a view of the sea really accomadating staff asked if I could have baked beans with my cooked breakfast as not on menu was told if they had some I could

Cons:

The quilt on our bed the material in it was all clumped up showing that it was an old quilt i woke at 11pm cold as felt really only a sheet over me
Remembered seeing blankets in cupboard grapped them and put on top of me

In the morning took look at blankets the blue one
had two holes in it just needs sewing up

The tv remote in our room did not work and the tv itself only allowed us really one channel as you couldnt move it up or down

Cons:

Room was a little colder than we would have liked, a little fan heater as back up would be great!

Pros:

Very welcoming, go out of their way to accommodate. The owner even gave us some free drinks for my son's 18th. Me and my son had a wonderful stay over the weekend, we loved their boardgames and discovered we love to play chess together. You won't be bored if the weather is bad and you decide to stay in during the evenings. We enjoyed going on the hunt for fossils and walking along the coast. We plan to come back again with the whole family and look forward to it.

Cons:

We didn't eat out as it would have gotten too expensive but there is a tesco close by, I would recommend maybe a small mini fridge in the room for this reason but 1 night didn't do any harm for my ham and coleslaw.

We were happy there.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast. Pleasant lounge. Keys provided on arrival for outer door, so accessible at all times.

Cons:

No hot water in bathroom, but didn't complain until we were leaving. Proprietor not contactable during stay, phone number provided was unanswered (even when we had an emergency requiring an ambulance).
