Friendly staff , nice garden good location.
The room was a bit cramped and had a bath with no proper shower .
Friendly efficient owners and staff. Wonderful breakfasts. Comfortable room. Pleasant garden. Inclusive parking on site. Away from the madding crowd.
Very comfortable, good facilities , staff excellent.
Being disabled the walk into town was impossible but local taxis were very good.
The Hotel is housed in a historic thatched building with numerous rooms. The owner personally welcomed us on arrival, the staff were excellent and there was a good choice for breakfast starting with juice, cereal, fruit and croissants, to which you helped yourself, followed by a choice of full English, kippers, smoked haddock with eggs and other choices. The place may look a little tired but was also quaint and homely. Would certainly book again if in the area.

The English Breakfast was gorgeous every morning. The girls serving were lovely and very helpful. It was an enjoyable break.
We booked the Deluxe Double which was smaller than we thought and with the heat the bed was a little on the small side

Our room. This was a standard double room that was rather tired and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom let it down unfortunately which was extremely small and old with a minimum of toiletries provided and no proper shower. There was a bath with a mixer tap, no shower curtain or wall fixing for the shower head.

We expected the room to be small but it was inconvenient having the washbasin in the bedroom.

It is not a hotel, it is a fairly standard B&B albeit well situated in a nice cottage with an impressive thatched roof. Our ‘small double room’ had only a small double bed, two chests of drawers, limited hanging space. No chair or table. A kettle and tea/coffee but no other extras (e.g. biscuits, hot chocolate, tissues, bottled water, face flannels, bath mat …). Bathroom always a bit damp, towel rail never heated so towels never dried.
