A beautiful hotel with amazing staff, great food and beautiful views.
Pros:

I liked everything about the hotel. I was at my nephew and his new wife’s wedding reception, the food was amazing.. the staff who served the food were so friendly. The bedroom was warm and very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and fresh. I was very lucky as the view from my window was breathtaking. Breakfast was very tasty especially the porridge, there was a great variety of breakfast food, the home cooked fry was excellent. All in all it was a great experience and one which I hope to repeat very soon.

Overpriced and under delivers.
Pros:

Location was good but that was it.

Cons:

Very overpriced for the service provided. Young staff in the restaurant were very pleasant but reception staff were not welcoming and never engaged with you as you walked passed during the stay.

It feels like a business orientated hotel, is tired in the hallways (doors are worn and poorly maintained). For €370 a night - no robes in room, extractor fan in bathroom didn’t work which made it stifling having a shower, poor quality toilet paper (like cheap school quality!), faceless black furniture in the room. Bed was comfortable enough but nothing about the room or the hotel was 5 star. It trades on its location and doesn’t try hard enough. We stayed at its sister hotel Lough Eske and it was similar - better but just not good enough for the price point.

Pros:

Comfy room, generally staff were great with a few exceptions as stressed iut kids seemed a bit ubsure of what rgey were doing, enjoyed the swimming pool.

Cons:

There needs to be a serious overhaul of hygiene standards Many tables around the hotel we sat at were grubby, People weren't cleaning underneath tables at meal times and when I asked for a tray to carry some drinks, I was handed a filthy tray with porridge quite obviously encrusted on it.

I saw a bunch of kids, probably students, doing their best with very little sign of a middle management supervisory layer coordinating things. On the whole the staff were doing their best but it needs a few more people with experience around the place.

Pros:

Beautiful location. We stayed for a friends wedding and the whole stay was really lovely. The rooms were big and comfortable and we had a gorgeous view. All the staff we encountered were lovely :)

Cons:

Such a minor thing - but would be great to also have water bottles in the vending machine instead of just soft drinks. They do give you a free carton each in the room but we drink a lot of water

Location is a big plus. They have amazing view and rooms too. Its a huge property and beautiful place to spend you vacations there.

Disappointing for price
Pros:

Bacon at breakfast is good.
View from restaurant is impressive.
Amanda on reception is efficient.

Cons:

Hotel requires a spruce. Decor is shabby and requires a refresh.
Spa is linked to leisure centre and shared changing facilities require an upgrade.
Cocktails were disappointing.
For price paid we expected a much higher level of comfort and standard of facilities.

Peaceful, ideal short break!
Pros:
