Coldwater Hotel

Dirty, old, hosts hardly spoke any English, no pets allowed

No cutlery or toaster.

The old charms of the building have been covered up with the new renovations.

Restaurant could use an update. We decided to find breakfast somewhere else.

Room wasn’t cleanest it cloud have been. The listing said rooms had “full” beds. Because of the bed size I booked a room with two beds only to get to the room and find queen beds. Wasn’t happy to have paid extra when a single bed would have worked. Also the area around the hotel is definitely struggling with homelessness and is a bit rough.

noisy A/C vent that ran thru the whole building , as it being an old western style of hotel, the humming of the A/C in my opinion was a litttle loud for quiet sleeping conditions. Also my small single room had the upstairs toilet pipe draining exposed to my room so could loudly hear it being flushed/draining every time.

Parking. The parking lot is not lit up. Homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks.

Hotel decor was dated and you could tell that the room was once a smoking-allowed room (we’re non-smokers). Could be a great historic hotel if it had a makeover though.

Non smoking room smelled strongly of smoke.
