Shame as the staff were lovely.
Pros:

Position of hotel for town

Cons:

Terrible drain smell from bathroom. Mould around shower tray. No lift. Drove past twice & then had to phone to find out where the carpark was.

L'emplacement, proche du centre. L'ambiance cosy de la chambre. La literie, très confortable. La réceptionniste très agréable et aidante. Elle nous a prêté un adaptateur électrique, le notre étant défaillant.

Cons:

Nous avons passé 2 nuits et avons constaté que la chambre n'était pas faite en revenant le soir. Il faut demander spécifiquement qu'on souhaite que la chambre soit faite. Nous ne l'avions pas compris...

We loved the troysgate house so much we will book it again when we go back down there

I stayed at your hotel last Sunday (03/05/2026) and I was extremely disappointed considering how much you charged me (€175/night). The place was shabby with stains & paint peeling, the halls smelled of stale cigarettes, the room stank of sewage and every time someone used the hall door, the wall shook. The worst was that water was pouring down the wall from the room above, presumably a bathroom leak. I’m very upset that you charged an extortionate price for one of the poorest quality hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
