Pros:

The place was great. It was clean, had drinking water and a nice shower. The best part was the location It was a couple streets away from the Main Street with all the restaurants so quieter at night but an easy walk. But by far the most amazing part was the son and his Dad. The Dad greeted us upon arrival and he and his wife checked us in. It was the fastest checkin we’ve had. When we were struggling with our Spanish and communicating, he told us his son would be there in the morning. When we met the son, he had just arrived from an overnight bus ride with little sleep. He tried to get us on a tour bus to the falls but the timing wasn’t working out so he offered to go as our interpreter with the tour guide, who does private tours of the falls. We spent a couple of hours seeing the many falls, stopping for pictures and enjoying the many butterflies and fauna. Olga was even able to get us a ride on a cage across the river. They packed in so much and were able to get us up the hill for our scheduled spa appointment at 1pm. The site n gave us his contact information in case we needed his help getting back to Quito. We did. He was able to get a reasonable price transfer back for us. All in all, they went above and beyond. We highly recommend you choose to experience Banos with this family.
