Fortuna Retreat

Excellent service and a stellar layout with private rooms and spectacular views. Breakfast provided a beautiful opportunity to see the local birdlife.

Wir haben uns im Fortuna Retreat direkt super wohl gefühlt, alles ist modern & hübsch eingerichtet, tolle Pflanzen, große & helle Zimmer, kein unnötiger Schnickschnack, super liebes & jederzeit für alle Fragen & Tipps ansprechbares Team.
Man muss natürlich die Lage einschätzen, es sind 5 min mit dem Auto in den nächsten kleinen Ort und 10 min nach La Fortuna. Für unsere Ausflüge war die Lage & die Ruhe optimal.

The staff at Fortuna Retreat were absolutely amazing and accommodating throughout my stay, especially with a few hiccups involving my excursions. Alfonso and his team made everything easy, from a smooth check-in and great restaurant recommendations to coordinating my excursions and arranging transportation for my arrival and departure. The excursions were a 10/10—I had so much fun!

I especially appreciated their flexibility on checkout day. Since I had an early morning excursion, they offered me extra time afterward to shower and get ready before heading to my next hotel closer to the airport. That thoughtful gesture made my travel day so much easier.

Breakfast at the Oasis was delicious, with the added bonus of watching birds fly through the surrounding forest. I’m so glad I chose the breakfast package—it was a relaxing, convenient way to start each morning.

Thank you, Alfonso and the entire team, for making my stay so memorable. I would absolutely stay here again when I return to Costa Rica!

The breakfast cafe was beautiful and delicious. The customer service was amazing, the staff was very helpful. They made it super easy to book excursions. They gave quick service and great reccomendations.

The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, especially Jimena and Alfonso, who assisted us with organizing transport and recommending local restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in La Fortuna.

It’s very clean - good location - about $3 in an Uber to get into the town. The faculties were good - although the pool is tiny. The staff super friendly

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is an amazing facility : very clean, modern, beautifully designed, and extremely well maintained. It truly feels like a genuine boutique hotel, with a lot of attention to detail.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful greenery, with a lovely garden right in the middle that creates a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. And the view of the volcano is absolutely breathtaking, definitely one of the highlights of the stay.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. The parking is also a great advantage: the spots are safe, secure, and located right next to the hotel, which was very convenient.

Beautiful property, immaculately clean, wonderful staff, breakfast was delicious and in a lovely spot for wildlife, great pool, highly recommend.
