Pros:

The villa is very clean and beautiful. The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful local breakfast. Great location with walking distance from a beautiful beach.

Cons:

During our entire stay at the villa, the room was never cleaned. Perhaps we just needed to ask.

Great staff and location. A relaxed environment where one could spend time on the veranda reading and relaxing.

Cons:

On a busy road, which intruded onto the relative peace and quiet.

The hot water heater needs to have a greater capacity to ensure the hot water is at the desired temperature.

This place is very special!
Pros:

We had an amazing time here. The whole house exudes calm and openness. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is amazing, and they were very accommodating with our dietary requirements. We will definitely be returning to this place. Thank you.

Staff great and a spacious, airy and quiet accommodation. Started the day with a hearty breakfast, accompanied with excellent service.

Cons:

Hot water could be hotter.

Felt the price a bit toppy, which would put me of staying again.

Very affordable rooms removed from the touristy buzz of Varkala
Pros:

The best things were the fresh, local breakfast (great variety too), the villa itself (classic Kerala) and the staff, some of the most genuine and friendly people we met on our trip.

Cons:

The mattress was rather thin and hard, the room was too warm at night and it was hard to dry the bathroom/wet room once wet (after a shower), so it often smelled damp for hours at a time.

Pros:

The room was spacious, clean and had AC. Bed was firm but comfy. The staff were absolutely wonderful. I didn't eat breakfast every day but it was great when I did.

Excellent stay!
Pros:

Have stayed here before and the host, staff can’t do enough. Rooms and living area spacious and clean with everything you need. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruits. Beautiful house and grounds with a balcony to relax from

Pros:

I had such a lovely stay at Surendram Villa. I was there for 1 night before flying out and my stay could not have been better. The host was welcoming and helpful, room immaculate and the food lovely. Would highly recommend.
