I feel very lucky that we came across Ports Apartment during this vacation with my family. It is one of the best places in the area in terms of both cleanliness and security. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and will definitely return. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Nothing at all.
We booked three apartments many months ago. The property managers contacted us the night before we were due to arrive stating that the floor our apartments were on was flooded and we would need to be moved. First they offered us an apartment 15 mns away that was far inferior, and would not accommodate our group, then they added one of the original apartments, very inconveniently splitting the party. They claimed to booking.com that we were no shows - despite using their transfers, solely to avoid paying the commission. Whilst the person we dealt with tried to be friendly other people were clearly pulling the strings and other guests have had very similar issues.
The substitute apartment toilet was out of order, and had many other shortcomings. We accepted the accommodation as it was only a 4 night trip and there was no alternative on arrival. As it was a 70th birthday celebration we wanted to make the best of it, but as top level Genius customers this was the worst experience we have had with booking.com
Additionally the post-stay experience with booking.com was not very satisfactory to say the least. Two of our group are top level Genius members but it took a couple of weeks for book to get to grips with what happened. They were only interested in proof that we had stayed (presumably so they could claim their commission) rather than the appalling experience we had. We asked for a modest amount to be refunded, but that was declined. Still good to know booking earned their commission!
Booking.com wrote to us saying "your report has been extremely valuable in helping us identify irregular practices and protect other guests from similar experiences. We are grateful for the time and effort you invested in bringing this to our attention, and we will continue to monitor the property closely."
The person who greeted us was incredibly kind and made us feel at home The apartment itself was spotless so clean cozy and prepared

My spouse and I are very happy to have found this place during our trip to Istanbul. Everything about our stay was delightful. The staff were extremely helpful and responded to all our requests promptly, which made us feel truly special. We definitely plan to come back. Highly recommended!
Great apartment. Highly recommend staying here, great location. Owner has a shop just below so is around if there are any issues. Spacious for a couple. Loved it. Made Istanbul great.
In the area there are sometimes works done to the water system - so the water was down for the day in the whole night and half a day. Not the fault of the property just something to be aware of. The owner let us know the day before - just plan accordingly.
The staff were extremely helpful. They let us pick an apartment we liked. Communication was very good. The apartment had all basics. Location is good, you can walk to most of touristy areas.
No shampoo or laundry soap. We had to buy it. Hopefully it could be used by next renters. The door was very flimsy.
Safir was very professional, helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The tv remote wasn't working due to needing new batteries. He sorted this out straight away.
No proper coffee machine or free bottles of water on arrival. Bare minimum in terms of furnishings and cutlery.

The apartment was in bad condition, lot of stuff broken. Open electrical sockets.
There was a burst pipe in my room and I was contacted as I was put in a different hotel, Pino Verde. Sefa was very helpful in organising as I had no alternative on the day.
Pino Verde was situated next to clubs and there were prostitutes outside the hotel. The room there was quite nice except that the light and extractor fan in the bathroom was motion activated and would go off all the time.
Location - Beyoglu district, very close to all famous sightseeings. Staff - gentle person, very helpful. Wifi - good quality.
Apartment we stayed not the one we booked. Although the apartment was bigger to what was originally booked furniture was a bit old and overall apartment looked poorer quality to what was shown as available for booking.
The location was perfect. We moved easily everywhere we wanted. It's safe and clean area.
This is not a hotel, There is not front desk or room service. It's self checking and there is not lift.
The hospitality was top. Dogan took care of every aspect and made us to feel at home during our stay. He was kind and emphatic.
