I had a prepaid reservation, they still refused to honor the reservation, saying the ownership changed and Hotels.com should have told me. Hotels.com has been zero help, as they act as if my plans changed, yes only because the hotel would not give me a room. I had another stay planned for 2 days later, and Hotels.com will not give me a refund, as it is past the cancellation window. Yes I want to stay there, but they won't give me a room. so
The swimming pool is not open.
The location was a walking distance to the convention that was in Par Inn hotel. The breakfast was great and the staff were exceptionally helpful. All in All I am very happy that I stayed at the Kirisimbi hotel.
There was occasional power disruptions during night time even-though the generator started right away. But there were repeated disruptions.
Terrible cancelled our room 2 hour prior to check in
The receptionists were very kind and helpful. When there was a buffet breakfast that was very nice and it was possible to have breakfast rather late (after 10 am) as well, when in other hotels this option may not be available.
Although the hotel looks new from the outside, it is very worn inside and needs a renovation. Bathroom tiles were missing, furniture scratched and peeling paint, and the walls were stained. The restaurant's menu does not seem to be limited but they only had a few different foods normally. Bed was rather hard. Although the location was not a busy place, my room was just above the main entrance and people started chatting very loudly at 6ish every day. The city centre is about 15 minutes walk uphill which is not the best. Compared to these and the fact that prices in Ruanda are not that high normally, this stay was not cheap.
I had a great time at Karisimbi Hotel. I spent six days there, and the cost-benefit is excellent. Mike, Kevin, and the other staff members are really great. I strongly recommend going on a city tour and safari with them. I'm excited to visit them again.

Breakfast was good with a variety
The meals choices were limited for lunch or dinner nevertheless, the quality was good but this can be better with a menu with a wider variety of choices.
Big room, huge bed, late check out with no extra charge. Lady at the reception was polite and professional.
Maintenance yard/loading dock/kitchen backdoor were right next to our room, so it was a bit noisy from time to time.
Keven ,Mike ,Jannet ,Aisha , was fantastic people ,very helpful, very friendly , working with smiling and positive energy , anything you ask them they will give attention and respond you so fast .

Food is fantastic and restaurant is very clean and stuff are very professional.
Location is very good , is very near from down town .
Spacious room (206) on the first floor. Cleanliness & Maintenance o.k. 2 comfortable seats and a small balcony. Walk-in shower with instantly hot water. Breakfast good (a la carte, no buffet because just a few guests). My compliments to the breakfast waitress, ms. Ortence. Speaking good English and attentive service with a smile.
Although there was a picture of a (small) swimming pool on the Booking.com site, it was empty, no water! I have been here a few times in the past and the swimming pool was not available any time. Better close the pool, put earth in it and make it a nice green garden with a few tables-chairs and parasols. Guests will like that.
There was a large wardrobe in my room but no hangers, not even one!
