Begijnhof Leuven Experiences
Pros:

The hotel is absolutely beautiful especially their quiet and well maintained garden. Stunning. The hotel bed I must say is absolutely fantastic and we had a wonderful sleep. Walking towards Leuven centrum itself is about 15 mins which is not bad at all. A reception lady was very friendly and help us arranged a requested bottle of wine and hotel arranged a lovely card for us.

Cons:

We booked the Suite for a night as it's our 10th wedding anniversary and also our first time in Leuven. Room was okay in terms of size but for the price that we pay it could have been better for example we were given the car park view and not the garden. There is a bath in the room but no bath soap or oil, only the typical round soap that we usually get in hotels. There is also no table to put our eg book, glasses ect.

Toilet somehow has no ventilation (afzuiging) which is very important and I must say that it was very unpleasant and from toilet to shower, we have to walk through the bedroom which is not ideal.

The creamers that the hotel provided for the coffee/tea was all spoiled and this may be an overlooked but it was very unpleasant and we have informed the hotel about it.

Lastly, it was about 7 or 8 am the next morning and there is very loud noises outside our room, it could either be the housekeeping, we are not sure but I hope that the hotel will take note of this.

Carpark is about 25 euros, it should have been part of the hotel booking as it's not in the city centre.

Ideales Hotel für einen entspannten Stopover

Die Lage ist schön und der Garten lädt ein zum Ausklingen des Tages oder zum Lesen. Personal habe ich nicht gesehen, denn es gab eine Bar auf Vertrauen, wo man seine Getränke eintrug auf eine Liste.

Cons:

Wir waren mit dem Hund unterwegs, er kostet 25€ extra pro Tag. Kein Wassernapf, kein Begrüßungsleckerli. Die Zimmer sind so angelegt, dass im Komfortdoppelzimmer kein Schrank für Kleidung und kein Platz für den Hundekorb geplant ist. Der Hund schlief in der offenen Dusche. !!!!!!!
Es gab eine Kapselkaffeemaschine, ich vermisse einen Wasserkocher.

Super locatie met vriendelijke mensen en fantastisch ontbijt.
Pros:

De locatie is echt fantastisch. Je zit aan de rand van het Begijnhof , een stukje UNESCO erfgoed waar je doorheen kunt. Je zit al binnen de ring en alles is op loopafstand.

Het ontbijt kost €25 en dat geld voor het ontbijt is het overigens meer dan waard. Eitjes, zalm, wafels, pannekoekjes, prosecco, verse sap, super goede cappucino, lekkere granalo en joghurt, verschillende broodjes, vers fruit, gebakjes. De ruimte waarin het ontbijt staat is erg mooi. Je kunt binnen of buiten zitten. Fijn!

Ook de kunst die in het en rond het gebouw staat is erg sympathiek. Ook hebben ze een "honesty bar" op de begane grond in de "huiskamer", die ontdekten we pas laat, maar sprak ons wel aan. We vroegen advies over plekjes en restaurants om te bezoeken tijdens het inchecken en we werden uitgebreid geholpen. Leuk!

Cons:

Je kan parkeren bij het hotel, dit kost wel rond de €25 pd extra, ook het ontbijt kost rond de €25 pp extra. Dus dit telt dan best wel op.

Wij kwamen zaterdagavond laat terug en onze sleutelkaart werkte niet om de voordeur open te krijgen. We gebruikten de intercom en moesten toen ook best een tijdje wachten voordat we te woord werden gestaan. Gelukkig kon die wel snel automatisch de deur opendoen.

Ook vind ik veel van de decoratie erg truttig, 3 plastic orchideetjes op een rij vind ik geen klasse uitstralen. Het voelt te gedateerd en af en toe een beetje kitscherig of rommelig. Er mogen wat meer echte planten binnen geplaatst worden.

Außergewöhnlich schönes Hotel und Anlage im Herzen von Leuven.
Pros:

Ruhige, sehr schöne Anlage direkt am Weltkulturerbe Großer Beginen Hof. Zentral gelegen. Die Zimmer waren groß und außergewöhnlich geschnitten. Sehr komfortabel und sehr sauber.

Super aardig personeel. Brand schoon. Uitgebreid en goed ontbijt. Locatie direct naast historische bezienswaardigheid.

Cons:

Kamer gedateerd. Back to the nineties. Overdaad aan beige, gordijntjes, spiegels en fineer. Dat is natuurlijk overkomelijk. Maar de kamer was niet geïsoleerd tegen geluid. Algemeen terras grenzend aan kamer. Doucheknop was ingewikkeld. Redelijk prijzig.
