Have stayed at Northgate House Hotel many times over the past few years and the staff are always pleasant, everywhere extremely clean and a high standard of furnishings and comfort. Appreciate having a fulfilling Continental Breakfast included.

This is our 3rd stay this year. A lovely peaceful stay in besutiful surroundings.

Everything was lovely. Every member of staff was helpful and polite. Breakfast was good, continental buffet style but with the option to upgrade to a cooked breakfast. My husband had one on our second morning and said it was delicious and well cooked. We ate in the restaurant one evening. We all had steak, which was delicious. Room was very good, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely location literally 2 mins walk from Buckfast Abbey. You can see the Abbey from the dining room.
My only down point is that our shower had quite a bit of mould around the edge which didn't look very nice however it would not put me off staying there again.

Great location. Buckfast Abbey is very interesting & surrounding area. Northgate House Hotel is very pleasant & comfortable. Can walk in the Abbey grounds from the hotel. Room was spacious & comfortable. Continental breakfast was plentiful with good assortment of items. Staff are very welcoming, friendly & efficient at sorting out any issues quickly.
No comfortable furniture in room to sit on. Our particular room (room 6 - disabled access) was rather dark as all windows are quite small. We didn't need a disabled room but it was all that was available on the dates we needed, so I booked it. It was spacious. May have been to have booked direct with hotel & we may do next time for a suitable room.
