The room was large and comfortable, had a good night sleep.
Dinner was excellent in beautiful surroundings.
Continental breakfast was superb with so many choices available.
The thoughtful gift of a small bottle of Prosecco and card in our room ( wedding anniversary).
Can’t think of anything.
Fabulous location.
Peaceful and clean
Continental breakfast is perfect, the rooms are gorgeous, bathroom outstanding and everyone on site is so helpful and friendly and I would live there if I could afford it!
Great location. Comfortable rooms with lovely hot showers. New restaurant menu was good.
Continental breakfast available from 7am which is great time for the early risers. However porridge is not available until 8am along with cooked options upon arrival of chef which means a later start if heading out for day of activities. It would be much appreciated if it could be available from 7.45am.
We have stayed here a few times. It’s always very clean the staff are lovely and the food is really good
Nothing
Well placed very close to Buckfast Abbey, the coast and Dartmoor. Lovely rooms and in a quiet location. Modern rooms and dining room with a nice bar and excellent food. Lovely breakfast both continental (inc in price) or cooked breakfast (for a supplement). Dinner very good too. Does not serve lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing!
A very clean and comfortable room. Great, quiet, location with an exceptional Continental breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
The accessible room was well thought out with great wheelchair access and bathroom with walk in shower. In the spacious bathroom, there were hand rails, a shower seat, a sink that the wheelchair fitted under and plenty of space.
Staff were lovely. Clean, good continental breakfast. Close to buckfast abbey conference centre. Quiet as well.
N/A
Location is beautiful. Staff were incredibly attentive and positive, the hotel clearly has a winning team working there. Accessible bathroom was exactly what we needed and made a huge difference. Food was excellent and delivered with fantastic service.
Mattresses were too firm to really be comfortable particularly for my disabled partner. Carpet in the room has seen better days.
It was a really great location for our function at the Grange restaurant. The hotel itself was very clean and well.presented, the staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast included in the price looked lovely with plenty of choice but opted for a cooked breakfast which was lovely. Would definately stat again.
Nothing not to like
The area and situation of the hotel.
The rooms were spotless and a credit to the housekeeping team.
Breakfast was an absolute nightmare, dirty sticky tables, no water in the tea urn, no coffee in the coffee pots, no plates or mugs (only dirty ones on the tables!) no cutlery. Everything had to be asked for even basic needs of the guests were not met, it was absolutely awful. We were told there were staff shortages but as a business address it, guests were walking out. It took 1 1/2 hours to have some toast and a cooked breakfast but by the time it arrived we were beyond hungry and completely fed up. On saying all of the above the two staff members that were working did their best, they were very polite and helpful and were under an awful lot of pressure, well done to them they should be given a rise.
