Otel Vaabensted

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vaabensted. It has an almost homely atmosphere rather than the impersonal feel of a commercial hotel chain, and the direct human contact is much appreciated.

The gentleman at reception, who may also be the owner, was very calm and friendly. He was happy to engage in conversation beyond the mere exchange of practical information, which made the stay feel particularly personal.

The hotel also has an upright piano, which is a wonderful feature for pianists like me (https://open.spotify.com/artist/0sr00YxbHKRAruzYrJ6PEg). I felt very comfortable in the room, the internet worked well, and the breakfast was generous. By current standards, it is also reasonably priced, although breakfast is charged separately.

There is also a small kitchen available around the clock, with a microwave, a small oven (curiously, no stovetop), and a kettle. And, as a special highlight for children, there was even hot chocolate.

We stayed for two nights, but personally I could easily have stayed longer.

Behind the hotel there is a small field where I could play ball with my son, as well as a trampoline and swings, which made the place particularly enjoyable for families.

A beach with pleasantly warm water is only a few minutes away by car. The water there was noticeably warmer than at some other places in Denmark.

A very pleasant, personal place to stay. We would be happy to come back.

Die Sanitäranlagen im Gang haben nicht gestört. Deiner Nesspresso zur gratis Benutzung beim Aufenthaltsraum. Netter, sympathischer, ich vermute Hotelbesitzer

I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfy, the location was quiet. I sat for half an hour in the bar chatting with the owner, a lovely man. A good cheap hotel only a 20 drive from the ferry. I will stay here again

Saimme erityisen ison perhehuoneen, joka oli kalustettu 1800-luvun tyyliin. Meillä oli omat aamupalatarpeet mukanamme, ja pieni yhteiskeittiönurkkaus oli toimiva. Yhteiskäytössä olleet kylpyhuoneet olivat siistit ja toimivat. Sijainti oli hyvä, autolla erittäin helppo löytää isolta tieltä.

Ja aamiaisella oli lämpimiä juuri paistettuja sämpylöitä ja tuoreita hedelmiä suoraan omasta puutarhasta😍

Ja saavuimme myöhään, niin paikan isäntä järjesti meille hedelmiä iltapalaksi.

Morgenmaden var glimrende og der var rigeligt

Hyggelig stermning, god vært

Der Empfang beim Check in war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Es war alles vorhanden. Der Gastgeber war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns nacheiner Radtour bei großer Hitze gleich mit einer Flasche kaltem Wasser versorgt. Im ersten Stock gab es eine kleine Küche. Eine Kaffeemaschine (Nespresso) stand gratis zur Verfügung. Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer war super.

J’ai séjourné deux jours dans cet hôtel lors de mon voyage en bikepacking. Mads a été vraiment génial et d’une grande aide, je recommande vivement son établissement.
