Cute but overpriced
Pros:

The private room was a huge size and well-equipped, with an in-room sink, fridge, fan, lots of hanging space, and a window. The included towels, shampoo, and body wash were a much-appreciated touch. The bathroom was beautifully re-done.

When the bed frame broke during our stay, one of the male hostel employees was incredibly kind and helpful. He responded immediately, was concerned to see that the frame had been secured with only one screw, and quickly reinforced it properly. Super professional.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the overall experience did not reflect the high price point. The bed frame broke apart when I sat on it because only one of the four screws was securing it.

To note, there is no common bathroom for before/after check out. Additionally, while the listing stated that the private bathroom was “external,” it did not clarify that it was located on a different floor, up a set of slippery stairs, and inside the common kitchen area. The shower was quite small and stream very weak. (But the water was hot!)

We were disappointed by the inconsistency regarding luggage storage. Upon arriving, we were told that we could leave their bags in the common area until 6pm on the day of check-out. However, on the day of, we received a call at 3pm asking us to collect our bags before 3:30pm and were told we could no longer remain in the common areas. When we politely asked if we could stay until 4pm, the staff member walked away without responding.

Overall, given the price, we expected better maintenance, clearer communication, and more consistent service.

Keinerlei Lichtschutz/Abtrennung der Betten gegen den Ventilatorwind, keine Ablagemöglichkeiten für Brille, ,smartphone o.ä.,am Bett. Sehr kleiner Stahlspind. Sehr spärliche Küchenaussattung (Geschirr, Besteck..)

Great loacation and value
Pros:

Amazing location! Near shops, dining, beach, park and excursion meeting points. Bus stop is just outside of the property. Easy ride to the airport and it was free while they were upgrading their system. Grocery store is just a block away. Stayed in a mixed room with the bathroom inside the room. Guests were respectful and staff were friendly and helpful. Water dispenser was convenient and a padlock was free to use for the locker. $5 towel rental if you forgot yours. Would definitely stay again.

Cons:

Mosquitos…mainly in the open air shared spaces. It’s a tropical environment and they love it too. Get some spray. 😝

18 year son and mon trip!
Pros:

location was amazing--plentiful adjacent parking, restaurants, art and culture. beach just a few blocks away. staff was incredibly kind and helpful, yeslady, edwin, and viviana were amazing.

Cons:

private rooms were lacking for the price point. shower curtain too short so shower would flood bathroom floor. blinds broken.
