Excellent Traditional Hotel
Pros:

The main hotel is lovely and pleasant with traditional facilities. Afternoon Tea was excellent and filling with great variety of products.

Cons:

The annex room had a number of issues. Toilet seat was on the floor and the decor was dated. The food in the restaurant was poor and expensive. I have dined here many times over the years and the service and food quality that night was not good.

Perfect place to stay for our Chatsworth visit.
Pros:

Ambiance. Location!!! Great food! Attentive and helpful staff (shoutout to Heidi!).

Cons:

We had to open our window for airflow and we were right over the parking lot so there was some noise. Not terrible. Just to be noted.

Super place for a special occasion
Pros:

We were there for a 'surprise' meet-up/dinner to celebrate a good friend's 70th birthday. The food was excellent, and the service great. For me, the cost did seem rather high - £460 for a night's accommodation for two (the meal was not paid for by us). That didn't include breakfast which was comparatively good value at £22 each. Lovely for a very special occasion but you need deep pockets! We walked to Chatsworth House, which is always worth a visit.

Really enjoyed everything apart from slow kitchen.
Cons:

We had one dinner and one brekfast experience. On both occasions the wait for food was too long. Kitchen issues??
