Madhuban Resort

Es ist ein kleines schönes Resort, gemütlich gestaltet, mit einem Restaurant/Bar direkt am Fluss. Die kleinen Bambusüberdachungen und gemütlichen Stühle laden zum Verweilen ein. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, geduldig und aufmerksam. Die Küche leistet sehr gute Arbeit. Die Zimmer bieten sehr viel Platz.

Everything was perfect, thanks! Very nice and calming atmosphere. The main village with restaurants is about 15 minutes by walking. The river with the bar is across the road. We really enjoyed our staying here

The terrace at the riverside was great. We spent hours there, watching the crocodiles, fish, deer, birds. And the food was great too; Nepali cuisine and snacks. We came back for more!

What we had intended to be a two-night stay became six, and even so it was difficult to leave. The bar has been set very high for our onward accommodations in Nepal! We stayed in one of the deluxe double rooms, with a balcony at the back overlooking the community forest. Here we saw spotted deer most mornings, and hornbills and a spotted owlet who lives in a tree in the neighbouring compound. As other reviews have said the food at Madhuban Resort is phenomenal (I’d say there’s little point in going in to Sauraha town to eat but if you do want to it’s a short tuk tuk ride or a pleasant walk on quiet roads). The location of the resort is wonderful: it is very peaceful and relaxing to be surrounded by nature yet with Sauraha nearby. Right on the Rapti River with a beachfront bar and garden, you’ll see nature all around you. But most of all, what sets Madhuban Resort above the rest is the outstanding customer care of Prasant, Pukar and Bishnu. It’s like a home from home and the hospitality you’ll receive is second to none.

Position is incredible and also the restaurant

Location is excellent. Very scenic spot on the river. We enjoyed eating breakfast while watching the marsh mugger crocodiles come out to sunbathe. The hotel is slightly out of town but it is an easy walk in or short tuk tuk ride. We enjoyed being in this quieter spot. Staff were outstanding. This is a relatively new business but Prashant, Nishant, Dipen, Bishnu and Birdoj did everything possible to make our 5 night stay the best it could be. The room was large and comfortable. The food was extremely tasty. This was our second hotel in Sauhara and the staff picked us up from our other hotel and then dropped us off at the bus station. Would we stay again? Would we recommend this hotel? Yes to both. Excellent value for money. Included breakfast was very good. We had a small issue with lack of hot water but when we mentioned it steps were immediately taken to rectify the issue. Keep up the good work. Good luck with your ongoing venture.

Overall good

Pasar was an amazing host!🫶 he took really good care of us and arranged everything what we wanted to do! Really nice terrace and restaurant at the riverside where you can face crocodiles while you are having your beer. Food was one of the best we had in Nepal. Make sure you book one of the renovated rooms, the bed was really comfortable after the teahouse beds with the trekkings. Slept like a baby. Highly recommend this place
