Excellent location to travel to and from Cardiff where we attended the Wales v. Italy rugby international. Staff very friendly and efficient.

The reception staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. The views were lovely and bed comfortable.

great room, great bed which was very comfortable, excellent breakfast. The staff were really friendly too and helpful as I arrived a little late.
It took too long to get my invoice when requested both through booking.com and direct to the hotel, I had to send multiple emails to get it.
The staff at Reception were so so helpful even (as requested) showing us a couple of rooms at che k- in so I could decide whether to upgrade as a treat to my husband .... which I did. It was worth paying extra for the Junior Suite. We were on the 9th floor but will go for the 15th top floor next time as the views from both town side ( odd number rooms) and river side( even number rooms) are stupendous.
The location is absolutely brilliant for those dependant on public transport for getting out and about and sightseeing positioned as it is halfway between the bus station and railway station.
The cleaning and servicing of the suite was outstanding. If anything is missing you just ask at the very helpful Reception.
No real problem with gluten free vegetarian breakfast as they have gluten free bread and put a little card on tour

There were no mushrooms or black pudding with the traditional cooked buffet breakfast.
The choice of a gluten free muesli would have been welcome.
The menu was a bit confusing given that it stated?as an alternative to the help yourself breakfast buffet "alternatiely order any of the following from the team" The list following included omelette, vegan sausages and porridge amongst other options. On our last morning breakfast of 3, the person on duty pointed out rather forcibly that if I chose the omlette I could not access any other items from the buffet breakfast...which included cheese. bacon, sausages , baked beans .
Does this mean my vegetarian husband would not have been able to eat anything else had he chosen porridge or vegan sausages? Photo enclosed.
