Lovely dog friendly hotel close to centre
Pros:

Super friendly, lovely environment. Lots of different types of spaces to find the best for you. Great dog friendly hotel.

Cons:

Was expensive but maybe as I booked late.

Good value overnight stay
Pros:

Good sized room. Short walk from station. Staff had a late delivery of electric fans and so this was welcome on a very hot night

Cons:

By a relatively main road with bus stop outside - wear ear plugs. Bathroom was a bit tired with uneven lino and mouldy seals. Bed was a bit uncomfortable on one side (only me in the room though so slept other side)

Handy for city centre
Pros:

Handy for city centre - 10 min walk, past a park on the way. Fortunately I nabbed one of the 3 parking spaces. Snack lunch there was fine. Room 5 is spacious with a natural light bathroom. Adjacent to a busy road but I wasn't disturbed, although other people might be.

Cons:

Don't serve breakfast except Fri-Sun. Not a major issue as city centre is close. Room 5 has an astonishingly noisy water pipe when it refills the toilet.

Nice room....no frills.
Pros:

NO BREAKFAST....I was there midweek.
Did not like the impersonal way to leave.....Key in downstairs box near to exit door.

Very nice overnight stay - lovely pub garden - will come again

Cons:

The toilet flush was crazy loud /but it didn’t spoil my stay

Pros:

The pub looked really good, the rooms were awful and wet decided not to stay

Cons:

The bathroom has lots of black on the shower/bath and behind toilet,the carpet in the bedroom wias stained , furniture old and tired, peeling paint, smelt of toilets.

A nice stay, very good accomodation, good staff.
Pros:

Its convenience to where I was going to

Cons:

The evening meal was adequate, but I expected a little better quality. The room would have been better with a box of tissues provided.

Pros:

Location is nice & easy.
Good size rooms.

Cons:

Mid week stay. Kitchen last orders 745pm, closes at 8pm.
Once checked in no staff after 10pm.
No breakfast facilities.
Leave key in box on exit as won't see anybody - they open midday.
Toilet leaking but couldn't tell them as no staff.
Huge cobwebs in toilet.
Carpets could fo with deep cleaning.
Not worth £100/night cost, more like £60

Pros:

Great location. Walking distance to cathedral and castle and food.

Cons:

Rooms are dated but clean. Needs upgrading to modern standards. Overall though I enjoyed my stay!

The location was good, with bus stops right outside the location. Room was quite poor.
Pros:

Close to town centre and bus stops. Free parking.

Cons:

The price was not good value. The bed was uncomfortable and small, and the headboard was broken. The room had no curtains, just scruffy thin blinds. The room filled with light at dawn so sleeping was difficult. Everything in the room felt cheap. The bathroom had lots of mould and rusty fittings. We would not stay here again.
