Great family welcome! If you like to dance or listen to Rod Stewart, a perfect choice!
Pros:

View was terrific and family was very accommodating and generous

Cons:

Some TV would have been nice. No signs at driveway and very steep! Shower was warm not hot but understandable due to site limitations.

Awesome spot
Pros:

This was a beautiful place!! Both Stefan and Shirley were so nice and accommodating. The views were spectacular as we sat well up on a hill above San Jose etc. The sunrises were beautiful and the lit up city well below was very nice. We were 1.5 hours from Bajos Del Toro and 2 hours from La Fortuna. They even arranged to have our dinner delivered on our first night which was awesome. Spectacular people and a beautiful location!!!

Exceptional
Pros:

This place is amazing! Fantastic views on the mountains and whole San Jose valley, everything is new, clean and very comfortable. We made a last-minute reservation and it was no problem. There is a self check-in lock box. Super comfy bed and morning coffee is just a bonus! This is a true hidden gem!

Disappointing
Pros:

The room itself was new and fairly nice

Cons:

We chose it because the listing said it was 10 km from our desired destination. It was not. It was 59km away and a 1 hour and 45 minute drive on very windy, narrow, and potholed roads. that put us there after dark, which was very dangerous driving. It was completely misrepresented and very remote. When we arrived, it was very dark (7pm) and we finally found the owners house and knocked on the door. the owner said he didn't check Booking.com that day, so he didn't know we were arriving and the room was not ready. The room was not cleaned and had no sheets. He and his wife quickly cleaned and made an attempt while we waited outside in the dark. When they finished and left, there were no pillow cases, only one bowl and no coffee cups in the kitchen. The water did not work in the bathroom sink. As rental hosts, they need to be more prepared. Everyone can make mistakes, but the more important thing for us is that it was not at all near the attractions we wanted to see, and we drove so far out of our way, that we entirely missed what we wanted to see.

Fantastic stay in a special place!
Pros:

It’s such a special place, in the middle of coffee fincas, with amazing views! The apartment is lovely, newly renovated and private. The breakfast was delicious! Stefan and Shirley are amazing hosts, super kind and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and would love to come again!
