So relaxing, a perfect environment to escape and feel restored.
Pros:

Beautifully peaceful and the escape I needed. Loved the decor. Amazing breakfast. Andria was our favourite. Lucia in the dpa gave me the best signature massage I've ever had. Such lovely people as staff.

Cons:

Very little if anything - would have liked the
swimming pool to be less in the shade but that's all. Lighting in bedroom was limited. A choice.

Pros:

Best hotel breakfast we ever had! The neighbourhood was lovely as well and closer to town than google map says. We actually ended up spending most of our time in the neighbourhood around the hotel (Cedofeita) rather than in the city centre as we enjoyed the shops/restaurants/cafes there much more!

A lovely Oasis in a lush garden.
Pros:

Good breakfast. Beautiful rooms.

Cons:

Location is a little far from Old Porto. Meant lots of taxi's.

Restaurant overpriced unless you like Michelin type food.

Luksuriøs oase med topp service
Pros:

Bistroen der hadde nydelig mat, både til middag og frokost. Lokalene er vakre, med utsøkt interiør og en velholdt hage. Vi brukte både poolen og spaavdelingen, begge deler ga en herlig, avslappende effekt. Personalet var svært imøtekommende og gjorde alt for at vi skulle føle oss velkomne og ivaretatt.

Amazing stay, will absolutely come back!
Pros:

With a limited amount of rooms this hotel gives a very intimate and thoughtful vibe. The staff, including Duarte and so many others, take the time to connect with you which is something I find rare these days and really makes a difference. The staff goes above and beyond to get you the assistance you might need - last minute dinner changes, late night arrivals, needing to get an outfit ironed randomly, help getting around, ect. The gentleman who served us breakfast had memorized our preferences after just one meal and that attention to detail is what you get here. I plan to return to Porto and hope to stay at this location again - not only are the grounds beautiful, quiet and peaceful but I think the biggest key to this place is the staff. Also, our rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day and after a long day of sightseeing or a poolside afternoon, it felt like walking we were walking into the room for the first time. Thank you Palacete Severo for a beautiful stay!

Cons:

Nothing! But I'd note it takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to the centre. However, we walked at all times of the day and night and always felt safe.

Pequeno-almoço à la carte foi muito lento (~1h) e durante todo o pequeno-almoço havia mesas por levantar - claramente necessita de reforço de pessoal

Beautiful property and people
Pros:

Amenities were lovely, staff very friendly, we had a great treatment at the spa. Welcome wine and treats were appreciated. Breakfast very generous.

Cons:

The property seemed over staffed. Felt a bit awkward at times when you were relaxing and they were all standing around with nothing to do. Attentive of course but maybe not necessary. Also having to call reception for anything you needed was a bit cumbersome, we prefer to be more self sufficient. We had room service which was the same menu as dinner from the restaurant and would not rate it at all.. pretentious and expensive for what you get. The driveway is blocked off so taxis can’t come up and you have to drag your suitcase up the long drive until someone comes to meet you. In sum the place is beautiful and staff very lovely but given the price and 5 star rating I would expect a slight level above.

Superdeluxe en heerlijk hotel.
Pros:

Prachtig klein hotel. Met een heel mooi zwembad en spa/fitness. Heerlijk a la carte ontbijt met alles erop en eraan. Super behulpzaam personeel, zelfs je auto wordt bij aankomst geparkeerd en je bagage naar de kamer gebracht. 20 min. Lopen van het centrum.

Cons:

Niets! Misschien alleen te weinig mogelijkheden om je handdoek op te hangen.
