Very nice quiet place. Family run and very helpful in assisting us with water lemons and sugar. The rooms are very modern, clean and with nice shower rooms. An added bonus was the communal kitchen that was well equipped and facilities for washing machine and powder. There was also a roof top terrace which was lovely in the evening all lit up. There was parking available. Nice gardens ,safe and secure with electric gates. Ideal for solo female travellers. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again. Value for money was exceptional.

One of the best stays I’ve had on Booking.com. The host is a genuinely good guy — always smiling, always ready to help. His family lives downstairs, guests stay upstairs — you get full privacy and peace of mind.

The rooms are spacious, with a fan, AC, and hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s always fresh bottled drinking water available.

The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, covering the entire property — perfect if you work remotely or just want a stable connection for streaming or calls.

Every morning starts with jungle sounds — birds, peacocks — peaceful and refreshing.

It’s just a 7-minute scooter ride to the center of Weligama, and the road is smooth all the way, so getting around is easy and stress-free.

The second floor is kept clean, and they’ll change towels and bed linen upon request. Security cameras cover the yard, so you can even leave your stuff outside without worrying.

Solid spot — clean, private, well-connected. Would definitely stay again.

Felt like home, could have stayed much longer! The place is beautifully renovated, clean, has plenty of day light and luxury (dimmable lights, desk, hot water, laundry machine, kitchen with fridge). On top of that, the family is super kind/welcoming and ready to help, and the location is excellent. It is peacefully surrounded by nature, felt safe and good environment for learning to drive the scooter (the 5 min drive to the main road is peaceful). I loved my stay !! Although i already felt safe storing my scooter and board overnight, the gate was an extra plus

We loved our stay at Lavish. The room was very spacious and good access to amenities. The staff are lovely and I ended up extending 3 days as it was very good value for money.

Our stay at Lavish Weligama was nothing short of exceptional, leaving us with memories we will cherish forever. Originally, we booked the hotel for just one night, but an unexpected car issue turned our visit into an extraordinary experience.

The owner of the hotel is truly one of a kind—a rare gem you rarely encounter. When our car broke down, he went above and beyond to help us. Not only did he assist us in getting the car repaired, but he also extended incredible hospitality by allowing us to remain in the room well past the 11 a.m. checkout time. In fact, we didn’t leave until 9 p.m., and at no point did we feel rushed or unwelcome. His kindness, understanding, and generosity made what could have been a stressful situation completely manageable.

Beyond the exceptional service, the rooms were fantastic—spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. The ambiance of the hotel reflects a perfect blend of warmth and modernity, making it a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring.

Very nice, clean, big, comfortable and lots of light in the room. A bit far from the center and the beach but you can always catch a tuktuk.

Very clean comfortable stay.

A clean, comfy, beautiful place with everything one might ever need. Everything is new, nice to use new things. From any room you will get an amazing view either to a sunset either to a sunrise. Friendly hosts are always here to help with anything, great people. WiFi works well, suitable both for working and watching films. Cozy balconies, kitchen includes everything for cooking including oven(!) And the price for such a lovely place is also lovely 💖 there are not many reviews yet because this is a new guest house but I highly recommend you to stay here and have a great time
