Hotel Tijerino Stay
Pros:

The hotel is nice. The view was pretty from the terrace. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was also good.

Cons:

When they provided our room I smelled an odor but it wasn't as strong. I thought perhaps it was from having the ac off. We went out to eat and upon our return the odor was strong like raw sewage coming from the bathroom. When I reported it to the front desk, they came in said that couldn't smell anything but they brought an odor control tub and sprayed bleach in the bathroom drain as it was coming from the shower. They said they didn't smell anything that it was minimal. When I was going to shower the odor was worse an I told the front desk that I couldn't stay in that room, if they had another triple bed room. They had to call the supervisor and they were able to provide us with two rooms each with one queen bed as a large group of people had arrived and it was full.
The next day the AC in one of the rooms was not cooling and had an error on the screen. Front desk came and tried a few things, even resetting the breakers and nothing. He came with a couple of remote controls and one of them worked.
The staff was pretty amazing.
We had little hiccups but they managed them.
The price is triple in price if you book through booking. It's cheaper if you book in person, you will save a lot and it's worth the money. I would stay there again. They keep everything clean. The property is in front of a park and there's a police station on the other side of the park.

Pros:

The view from the window was very nice. The staff was genuinely trying to be helpfull, but strugled a bit with the administration.

Cons:

There is no lift, and quite a few stairs from the parking lot. Paying by credit card proved to be a bit complicated. Hotel is quite expensive for the services offeted

Pros:

Good location, A/C

Cons:

Bathrooms have no external ventilation which leads to extreme accumulation of moisture, staff not readily available, lock on door was broken and not repaired in a timely fashion

Terrible Communication = No Sleep

Our room was tiny, had to wait an hour for hot water. Lastly, our rooms were below the open restaurant area where there was a wedding with two bands. We were not warned at check-in and we had two children with us. It wasn't until the noise of all the setup that we realized something was going on. At which point we were told there would be a band until 11:00 p.m. and the band went until 2:00a.m.
I've already contacted the hotel and they said they would give us 50% off our next day. Completely unacceptable.
