We had a great time at Chettinad manor. Wonderful stay with homely breakfast —fluffy idlis, delicious sambar, paniyarams and coffee.

The manager, Nagarajan, went above and beyond—he put together a personalised itinerary and even wrote it down on a paper for us.

Additonally, compared to other heritage properties around Chettinad, this is a great budget option.

It was the perfect location for exploring the amazing Chettinad Mansions in the area…….and after a long day returning to the leafy streets around the Manor was a great pleasure……..and entering the main halls of the hotel a delight.

My recent stay at Chettinad Manor was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was truly outstanding. I must give special mention to Mr. Muru and Mr. Nagarajan, who went above and beyond to ensure our trip was memorable. Their assistance in helping us explore all the important local sights was invaluable, and they were always ready with helpful tips and recommendations.

The rooms at Chettinad Manor were incredibly comfortable, providing a relaxing haven after a day of exploring. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful central courtyard, a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. While the food was decent and homely, it was the overall experience that truly shone.

During our stay, we had the opportunity to visit some truly amazing heritage properties, a magnificent palace, and even witnessed the fascinating process of tile making. It's a fantastic place to enjoy quality time with family and immerse yourselves in the local culture.

Muru has been a great help for taxi, he also provided a list of what to do and autos.

Nagarajan the manager always helpful, friendly and efficient. He arranged wonderful rickshaw drives for two days to explore all the key sites in the locality. If you want an authentic stay in a Chettinad mansion which hasn’t been over westernised or made over luxurious in its restoration , this is the place. The quiet village has many unrestored and deserted mansions to look at

Food was very good.

But the stay not worth the money. Paints were coming.
Below average toilet facilities.

Nothing we liked

The hotel's exterior and overall design were impressive, but I found the space and facilities lacking in some areas. The parking situation could be improved, as well as the restroom facilities, which were too narrow and cramped. Enhancing these aspects would greatly improve the guest experience. The complimentary breakfast was good and added a nice touch to my stay. I also understand that the hotel is still in development, and I hope these areas will be addressed as they continue to improve.
