Just a quick pit stop. Amazing staff, Steak and Ale pie is a must! Really comfortable, clean room! Breakfast incredible!

So welcoming! Friendly.

Cons:

Our room was in the rafters so a bit stuffy. We opened the windows only to discover a wasp nest right in the rafters next to our open windows. So shut the windows. Being nature lovers, we’d prefer to leave the wasps than complain. It’s obviously an old building. Not a problem for us!

Receptionist on arrival was welcoming and very helpful, unfortunately this didn't extend to the the restaurant staff in the evening. We were given a menu printed on a grubby dog eared A4 sheet on paper with limited choices which didn't match the menu's seen on line. The waitress was indifferent. After ordering we overheard other guests being offered a roast dinner which was not an option given to us. Overall not a pleasant dinning experience and certainly didn't match the price.

I would stay again but would eat elsewhere
Pros:

The hotel is absolutely adorable, very unique and full to f character.

Cons:

The restaurant- food overall was quite good. But the service, although friendly, was terribly slow (almost 2 hours to get food after ordering). A number of things on the menu from the website were not available. Bar tender did not know how to make their advertised feature drinks. A disappointment overall.
