Stay in the Wellington Hotel
Pros:

Mostly the location. Walking distance to places of interest like Te Papa, Parliament buildings and shops.

Cons:

It's difficult to maneuver if you have a big vehicle in their allocated parking space. Difficult to carry your luggage to the lift from the parking as you have to lift your heavy luggage over the step to get to the lift.

The bathroom sink was leaking when you washed your hands and the floor was wet. My husband slipped and had a fall. Told the receptionist about it but the maintenance guy already went home. It got fixed the following day.

When booking it stated there's a view, but when we got to our room there was only four walls without a window.

Overall, good value for money
Pros:

Location was great right in Wellington CBD and close to shops and diners

Cons:

Bathroom was very unclean with an unclean plaster left on the sink that was not cleaned despite requesting it from staff

Pros:

It was clean, central and had a great view of the harbour

Cons:

Parking was a bit of a pain as we couldn't fit our vehicle in the carpark so had to park elsewhere which ended up being quite expensive.

No change of towels smelled of cooking all through the place wouldn’t rate the rooms balcony area hadn’t been cleaned for weeks by the looks of it false advertising of the place wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Convenient check-in, but overall disappointing.
Pros:

Beds seemed clean and were comfortable. Apartment was tidy and mostly clean.
Really liked how easy it was check in after hours. The lock box was easy to find and instructions on how to get to the room were clear and easy to follow.

Cons:

The apartment we were in was very run down. Bathroom floors didn't seem like they had been moped. There was no lock on the door and it could easily just be knocked down or the lock picked. The couches were heavily marked. It is not really fit for a young family. It just wasn't very nice. I understand that it is one of the cheaper places in the city, but it did not meet our expectations from the photos that are shown on the website. I think with some TLC this place could be better.

Also, it was really hard to find a car park. We were lucky that we arrived late at night and street parking was free until 8am

Okay for two nights.
Pros:

Location and price.
Compact a perfect for 1 person staying for only a couple of nights.
Staff did allow me to keep my car in parking zone till 12pm since I had a meeting in town which was walking distance.
Shower had hot water but other taps were only just luke warm at the most. Had to boil jug for hot water to do dishes.

Cons:

Hard to locate in car when never been to Wellington before. No drop off or pick up area when arriving by car.
Had to pay $25 extra per night for car parking.
Bed is getting old and will be uncomfortable to sleep in soon.

Cons:

DO NOT STAY HERE!! This place is disgusting with terrible service, beds are rotting with unclean linen!! Staff are unhelpful and refused to refund 3 nights unused stay due to unhygienic conditions. Place has poor airflow, muggy and foul aromas - CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Great value for money. Accommodating staff
Pros:

Loved the bright colours and comfortable bed. The communal balcony was lovely to sit on in the evening

Cons:

Very difficult to find the park entrance and you easily go down a one way street the wrong way. The hotel lobby is also very difficult to find

Pros:

The hotel was very easy to reach and close to all attractions. I liked the fact that there was a mini kitchen area so that you could warm up food if
you didn't want to eat out. It was good value for money

Cons:

My room didn't have any windows so it felt a bit sniffling. There was an air conditioner, but you couldn't leave it on ar night because it was too noisy
