Pros:

It pains us to give a low score because the hosts are amazing. On arrival they helped us with motorbike hire and offered ferry ticket services.
The room was very clean and everything you need for a short stay.
They were very friendly and welcoming great location next to the port 4 minute walk!

Cons:

The bed was rock solid, no give in it all.
Soundproofing non existent no glass on the window just a wooden shutter. It was incredibly noisy until around 3am with cars, bikes and people. The glass front door had no curtain or blind so the light outside shined in all night and no bin was provided.
The other rooms were not facing the front so it might not be so noisy.
All in all it's good option for a short stay if you plan to get the ferry the next day.

It felt like home 😊
Pros:

I've decided to stay there because of the excellent rating on google maps.
I was curious why I haven't found this diamond on booking and then I saw the rating and some of the comments and honestly, I was quite shocked.
Maybe it's because I'm simply not so demanding (long term traveller) like others.
Yes, the mattress is hard (just as almost every mattress l've slept on in Vietnam).
It makes me sad to see people give a bad or mediocre review without adding details - that just negatively affects these people's businesses.
The staircase is a little bit steep, but nothing to worry about - I walked it with slippers and 2 backpacks (>20kg).
So, let's talk about the outstanding experience:
First of all, I stayed 5 nights in total, so no overnight experience.
Their hospitality and kindness are outrageous!
She even let me sleep in her room because all of her rooms were booked due to the new year.
People can come and go whenever they feel like.
She prepares the rooms in a few minutes so you can move in smoothly before you're back from buying a smoothie.
You have a shared welcoming terrace on both floors with a sea view.
The rooms are spacious (big enough for two people and not cramped with a private bathroom for around 300K, wonderful!
The family run Homestay is a few minutes walk away from the sea and about ten minutes to the beach.
My experience was so positive that I had to clarify some things, so people won't miss this lovely place due to some unbelievable reviews.
I've checked out another Homestay nearby (rating >9 on booking), owner was grumpy, the room tiny, no private bathroom, no terrace, no sea view and the staircase is almost 90 degrees => same price...
I had a wonderful time with wonderful people ❤️
