Our stay was truly special, not just because of the comfortable accommodation, but because of the amazing people who made us feel so welcome. The hospitality was exceptional, and every moment was filled with warmth, kindness, and genuine care.
A special thanks to Pema and Lemo for their wonderful service and for always being so friendly, polite, and helpful. Their warm smiles made our stay even more pleasant.
Chef Tek deserves a special mention for the delicious food! The Pork Paa and Aloo Paratha were absolutely delightful and made our meals even more memorable.
A big thank you to Manager Namgay for taking the initiative to start the conversation and for the wonderful morning trek. I truly enjoyed our engaging discussions, especially about India and Indian movies. It was a pleasure sharing those moments, and the experience made our mornings even more memorable and special.
And then there was Sonam sir - the best part of our stay! ❤️ Thank you sir for sharing your special Ara in egg and, more importantly, for entertaining us with your exciting stories and experiences. Those conversations gave us a beautiful glimpse into local life and culture. A very special thank you for taking us to see Punakha Dzong at night. Seeing the Dzong beautifully illuminated was a magical experience and one of the highlights of our stay.

No doubt the room was clean and comfy with the serene views from balcony, but what made this place truly unforgettable was the special time we spent with everyone. We arrived as guests but left with beautiful memories, wonderful stories, and a feeling of having connected with genuinely lovely people.

Thank you, Pema, Lemo, Tek, Namgay, and Sonam sir for making our stay so meaningful and memorable. Your warmth and hospitality made us feel at home.

Absolutely nothing! - completely dilapidated property, badly needs renovation! Photos on booking.com are very misleading & misrepresentation - management has changed and property has gone downhill since then!

Excellent hotel. My room was spacious, nicely decorated and has a balcony that offers gorgeous views. The bathroom was wonderful and surprisingly, also has nice views. Staff were super kind, accommodating and friendly. I also met the owner who was nice and friendly as well. Dinner was good, they also invited me to watch how they make their traditional dish, Ema Datchi. I would highly recommend.

Amazing view and very clean. Comfortable linen with a huge bed. Staff is the best ever, warm and hardworking. They even gave us a ride to a nearby town for lunch. The bathroom is great with hot water. We strongly recommend staying here.

This was by far our favourite hotel of our entire Bhutanese trip. Really perfect place, amazing food, stunning views, cool rooms and bathrooms. Very, very magical. Great position overlooking the monastery. Highly highly recommend!

Wangdue Eco Lodge is a lovely place tucked high above the Dzong, with amazing views from the room that really make the stay special.
The staff were very kind and helpful throughout. Dinner and breakfast were simple but perfectly adequate. The rooms are very spacious, though they could benefit from a few extra touches to make them feel cosier, as they felt a little empty.
Overall, a pleasant stay with beautiful views and a peaceful setting.

Enjoyed the hospitality, the view from the rooms and the spaciousness of the room and the bathroom. Pictures don't do justice to the size of the place.

Kelsang is a wonderful person and manages the property with such care and grace. Our stay was truly beautiful — the delicious meals and the delightful breakfast outdoors were the cherry on top. The property itself is stunning, with a charming sustainable design that made the experience even more special.

The Atmosphere, the view and the staff . A special mention to Mrs Kolzeng ( hope to have well written her name) , the front manager, who is very helpful and nice. We had a nice simple dinner with good food and enjoyed a fresh beer. It seems to be in a family. The rooms are clean and very large and silent. The bed is comfortable .

Very poor road conditions to access the hotel. V basic facilities, not much to do. Food was good. Was overcharged by hotel for the stay.
